Cosy Cottage with Lake and Fell Views

Relax with family or friends in this beautifully renovated 3 bed home. The cottage is nestled in the hillside in a quiet, exclusive area overlooking Lake Windemere and the Cumbrian Fells, just a short, 8 min walk from the centre of Bowness with its many shops and amenities. The house offers tastefully furnished rooms which are cosy and comfortable for up to five guests with two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. We welcome children. There is free residents car parking for 4 cars on the drive The space Rockside has ample driveway and space for 4 cars if needed; there is also a turning area so you can drive your car straight out onto Brantfell Road. There are three steps up to the front door where there is a patio area with garden dining table and chairs for six people. We will leave a charcoal BBQ under a cover for your use; please provide your own charcoal and ensure cover is put back on after use. The front door leads into a porch which offers spaces for coats, boots and rucksacks. As you enter the house the bathroom is on the left with full bath and separate shower, heated towel rail and toilet. The next room in the hallway is the kitchen which again is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, range cooker with oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and kettle. There is washing machine for your use in the kitchen and a drier in the under stairs cupboard. At the back of the house and in prime position for the views down to the lake is the lounge dining room. There is a dining table with six seats leading out to the decked garden area. The outside decking has a garden lounge set with seating for five and coffee table. A beautiful place to relax with a cup of coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Inside, the bright and tastefully decorated lounge area there is comfy seating around the gas stove and TV; there are board games and useful local leaflets, books, games, maps and guides in the sideboard for your use. Follow the glass staircase with handrail up to a shower room on the left hand side. The shower room has a toilet and shower and heated towel rail. .Next door is the first of the double bedrooms with bedside tables, chest of drawers and fully lit wardrobe with hanging space. Beautiful views to the front of the house are of woodland, gardens and houses built into the hillside. Soft and warm sheepskin rugs make getting out of bed a pleasure! The largest of the bedrooms is at the back of the house and is bright and sunny. It has lake views and double aspect windows. There is a double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, freestanding mirror, chair and clothes hanging space. Soft and warm sheepskin rugs adorn the bedsides. The single bedroom also has lake views; there is a single bed, bedside table, chair, chest of drawers and fully lit wardrobe with hanging space. Once again a sheepskin rug makes getting out of bed much easier! We keep all the children's equipment in the wardrobe - travel cot, changing mat, high chair, steps for the bathroom and baby toys and books etc. This room has a Peter Rabbit theme. Guest access You will have full exclusive access to the property. Other things to note You can walk into the busy, thriving village of Bowness down Brantfell Road or down Langrigge Drive. If you walk down Langrigge Drive you will pass the Children’s play park and then you will find yourselves on Lake Road amidst the shops. If you walk down Brantfell Road you will be a little closer to the lake. This will take between 8 and 10 minutes.
