The property sits on a 2.5-acre lot and is located in a quiet, rural neighborhood; while still in close proximity to surrounding areas. - Aspen/Snowmass/Buttermilk/Highlands (30-40 min) - Basalt/Willits/Whole Foods (less than 10 min) - Carbondale Downtown (15 min) Staying at Deer Ranch is a unique experience, one that is akin to being a Roaring Fork Valley local. No hotel and very few STR's offer what our property has. As you turn off of Highway 82 to get to Deer Ranch you will quickly enter the mesa neighborhood of Missouri Heights. Our neighborhood has large parcel lots, expansive views and quiet and seclusion that cannot be found on the valley floor. Pair this with your private hot tub, from which you can watch the sunset with views of Mount Sopris to the Maroon Bells to Independence Pass. Sightings of white tail deer are frequent. Don't forget to look up at night as there are few places on this planet where you will see as many stars. This guest suite is part of a single-family home with private entrance. The owner and long term tenant live on site. The space is a 2-bedroom, one bath separate guest suite with living room and kitchenette in a single-family home. The unit has a separate private entrance; all interior space is private with no shared interior space. Both bedrooms have portable AC units in the summer and baseboard heat in the winter. One bedroom has a king bed. The other has two twin beds (the two twins can be converted to a king bed upon request for a $65 fee as it requires additional time to set up and break down. The sofa in the living area has a queen size pull out that will sleep two. The space can sleep up to six people, yet is better suited to four or less. Kitchenette includes a mini fridge, microwave, ice maker, hot plate, Keurig coffee maker, cutting board, knife, plates, glasses and silverware. Kitchenette sink is a bar sink without disposal. Coffee, tea, cream and sugar are provided. Shampoo and conditioner, lotion, hair dryer and other bathroom necessities provided. Extra blankets, pillows, space heaters, box fan are all supplied with the rental. We are one of the only short term rentals that has a boot warmer/dryer in unit. After a long day of skiing/snowboarding place your boots on the dryer and they will be toasty and dry ready for you for your back to back days! The large, fenced backyard is available to you and your pups. This is a shared backyard with a long-term tenant. You may see a cute little beagle, Oliver, running around back there. This is true Colorado rural property, with the last 1/2-mile drive to the home being on well-maintained dirt road. AWD/4x4 is not needed to access. AWD/4x4 and snow tires are recommended on all Colorado roads in winter. We do not recommend booking the unit if you do not have a vehicle. Ubers/Lyfts are very limited in the area and cannot be counted on for transportation to/from the property. As this is a guest suite with shared walls quiet hours from 11p-8a are strictly enforced. 9.6 kW EV charger available, usage rates apply. 6/24/2026: Eagle County is in stage 2 fire restrictions, the fire pit in the backyard is not available for use until restrictions are lifted. Guest access Access to the unit is simple as you will be provided a door code upon booking. You will have full access to the private guest suite and the back deck. The back deck has the private hot tub, hammock, outdoor dining table and chairs and two outdoor lounge chairs. There is one dedicated parking spot and additional parking is available upon request. You will have access to the shared backyard. Other things to note Single night booking requests may not be accepted especially if booked more than a month before the stay. We prioritize multi day stays as single night requests can leave us with vacant nights. If you are looking for a single night stay please request, we can discuss details once you have. The property is in the heart of the beautiful and wild mountains of Colorado. You may see or experience animals such as bears, mountain lions, deer, elk, foxes, bobcats, snakes, raccoons, rodents and other such wild things. The property is well-managed, yet we cannot predict the unpredictable as we live in a natural setting. Please understand this prior to booking this home. Due to hot tub safety/liability and with shared walls, the space is not suitable for children under ten years old. Owner and long-term renter live on site and there are shared walls between the guest suite and rest of the home. Sound mitigation measures are in place, but please be aware you may hear an occasional sound come through and please be respectful of the listed quiet hours.
