Located at Balgowan, Sandpiper is the perfect holiday house for a seaside getaway. There are 3 bedrooms at Sandpiper – queen, trio bunk, bunk – and sleeps up to 7 people, with linen hire available. Ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning throughout, and spacious living areas. Outside, there are plenty of open spaces to enjoy with undercover outdoor seating on both front and rear decks, with lounge seating, hooded gas barbecue, and fire pit. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office. Sandpiper has one bathroom with a shower & toilet. There is ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning through the self-contained accommodation. The combined living area is spacious with a television (with USB port) in the lounge room, and views across the front deck from the dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven, microwave, coffee plunger, sandwich maker & fridge with freezer on top. In the laundry, guests will find a top load washing machine, iron & ironing board. Outside, there are plenty of open spaces to enjoy with undercover outdoor seating on both front and rear decks. On the rear veranda is lounge seating, and a hooded gas barbecue. At the rear of Sandpiper, guests can use the fire pit, but will need to bring their own firewood and be aware of any fire regulations or bans. The rear yard is secure, and there is off-street parking for up to 3 vehicles behind a fence, along with room for a boat. There is a fish cleaning area for those coming to fish the waters off Balgowan, and the boat ramp is only a short drive from Sandpiper. Sandpiper welcome pets by arrangement (sorry, no cats) – when making your booking, let the Country Getaways staff know your pet will be coming, and please note a refundable bond is applicable. Whilst the township of Balgowan doesn’t have any shops, Maitland is only a short drive inland or Moonta is to the north. Both towns have a range of shops including supermarkets, hardware, chemist and much more. Sandpiper is the ideal accommodation for those wanting a coastal holiday on Yorke Peninsula. THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE: All properties are fully self-contained; however personal requirements and consumables are not supplied. Whilst some properties may have minimal quantities of toilet paper, washing powders & detergents, and soap; it is expected that guests will bring their own items for the length of their stay. Generally, nothing is provided in the way of food items. Guests need to bring their own tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and other food stuffs.
