The space The Red Door Country Cottage is a charming retreat overlooking the stunning Moorabool Valley. With two cozy bedrooms, a welcoming living area with a wood fire, and a fully equipped kitchen, it offers a comfortable home-away-from-home. Step outside to the BBQ area, breathe in the fresh country air, and enjoy the peaceful valley views—perfect for a relaxing rural getaway. While tucked in a tranquil rural setting, the cottage is just 5 minutes from Bannockburn shops and cafés, 5 minutes from Clyde Park Winery, and 10–15 minutes from local wedding venues and wineries. A car is recommended, as walking to nearby venues along the Midland Highway isn’t safe. Guest access The entire Red Door Country Cottage is yours to enjoy! Relax in the cozy living area with a wood fire, cook up a meal in the fully equipped kitchen or at the outdoor BBQ, and take in the peaceful rural surroundings of the Moorabool Valley. Guests have access to the full cottage and outdoor areas. The main house, attached garage, and shipping container are private. Entry is easy via a lockbox. Other things to note The Red Door Country Cottage is a cozy rural retreat. The cottage is full of charm and comfort, with a few rustic touches that add to its character. It’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Moorabool Valley. Families & Children Children are welcome by prior arrangement and at the host’s discretion, and must be fully supervised at all times. The cottage is designed as an adult retreat, so any child essentials you may require (e.g., cots, highchairs, toys) are not provided. We do, however, provide a selection of board games for family enjoyment! Bedding & Linen Bedding and linen may vary from the photos, but everything is fresh, clean, and comfortable for your stay. To help us keep linens in great condition, please: 🧖‍♀️ Remove makeup, fake tan, and heavy skincare products before bed. 🚿 Shower before bed if using tanning products. 🛏️ Use the provided dark towels for makeup removal instead of white linens. ⚠️ Damaged or heavily stained linens that cannot be salvaged will incur a replacement fee. Thank you for helping us maintain high standards for all guests. Pool Access The pool is a SHARED SPACE and available to guests. It is part of the main residence, similar to a hotel or motel pool, and is not for exclusive use. Guests may share the area with the hosts at times, but you are also welcome to enjoy the pool independently. Please note: Pool use is for guests only. Property Use & Guest Responsibility Guests are welcome to enjoy the cottage and surrounding property, except for the main house, attached garage, and shipping container, which are private. All items provided for your use during your stay remain the property of the homeowner. Removal or damage to these items may result in additional charges. Children are welcome by prior arrangement and at the host’s discretion, and must be fully supervised at all times — please contact us to discuss your needs so we can confirm suitability. Friends and family are welcome to visit briefly during the day, however overnight stays are limited to registered guests only. Unapproved additional overnight guests will incur an extra $100 fee per person. A Quick Note on Nature’s Visitors Being in rural Bannockburn means you may occasionally spot insects, spiders, snakes, or other wildlife—it’s part of the charm of country living! 🐍 If you see a snake, do not approach it and notify us immediately. Leaving doors open that allow a snake inside will incur a $150 removal fee. 🐜 Small insects or other wildlife can be gently escorted outside if you’re comfortable.
