Totally refurbished in 2024, this beautiful home comfortably embraces up to 10 guests who can relax indoors in front of the log fire or wood burner and enjoy BBQs in the lovely garden. Centrally located for touring Aberdeenshire, Royal Deeside, the Cairngorms and the Castle and Whisky Trails, Hogholm Farmhouse is dog and horse friendly (grazing and stabling available at additional cost). The space Positioned against a stunning country backdrop just 17 miles from Aberdeen city centre, this granite farmhouse comfortably sleeps 10 and has everything you need for family gatherings and special celebrations with friends. A lovely place for creating memories of a lifetime, Hogholm is located 15 minutes' drive from TECA, 30 minutes from Aberdeen city centre and within 45 minutes from several distilleries. Known as Scotland's castle country, Aberdeenshire has many interesting historic properties and whisky distilleries nearby, with a great selection of restaurants and village inns for all tastes. Only 10 miles away is Bennachie, a range of hills with several tops, the highest of which, Oxen Craig, has a height of 528 metres (1,732 ft), and at the foot of the hill is the Bennachie Visitor Centre where you can find out all about Bennachie’s history and wildlife.There are opportunities within an easy distance for cycling, surfing, kite-surfing, horse-riding, hill-walking, skiing, exploring Royal Deeside - or simply having a relaxing holiday soaking in the fabulous views. Enjoy Hogholm's rural setting before stepping inside, kicking off your boots and preparing to relax as a group. The kitchen/diner leads through to the spacious lounge with open fire, which in turn leads to the large conservatory with log burner and fantastic views. Enjoy watching the horses graze in the fields and the gorgeous sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped for keen cooks, or equally serves as a comfortable room to enjoy takeaway meals from the many local providers. Settle down to watch Netflix in front of the open fire in the lounge, or star gaze in the conservatory with the log burner. The large garden is private but not fully enclosed. It has a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining, a firepit for those chillier evenings, and a variety of outdoor furniture. The first bedroom is on the ground floor along with a family bathroom. Upstairs are four further bedrooms, one of which has an en suite shower room; the others share a smart shower room. Enjoy exploring Aberdeenshire's lovely hacks - such as Bennachie, Castle Fraser, Fetternear, Haddo House, Gartly Moor, the Old Railway Line, Delgatie Woods and Balmedie beach - or ride in one of our three arenas, one of which is a 63x20m indoor school.
