Located in Ford End a 15th century village in Chelmsford, Little Brook offers easy access to Great Dunmow, Stansted airport, rail, and bus services to London, Cambridge, and local towns. The space Welcome and take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Little Brook Retreat is the perfect location for your trip be it for visiting friends or family, work or leisure. Situated in the grounds of a traditional, Grade 2 listed, 17th Century home "Brook House" where your hosts, a couple and their small dog reside. Little Brook Retreat has its own entrance into the immaculate self-contained property with a spacious open plan, cosy lounge and kitchen with a small table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, oven and hob, microwave, sink, kettle, toaster crockery etc. A selection of tea and coffee is provided. Outside there is a private, peaceful and pretty decking area with table and chairs for guest use where you can relax, overlooking our Little Brook. The brook, which flows through the garden and into the River Chelmer, can be followed on stunning country walks where a wide range of wildlife can be spotted. Upstairs there is bright and airy double bedroom with comfy double bed with bedding. Bathroom with large walk-in shower, fluffy towels, toiletries & hairdryer provided. Small travel cot available on request (Bedding not provided). Clean, comfortable and cosy. Please note that due to the remote location of Little Brook Retreat the internet and mobile phone signal in the area can on rare occasions be temperamental. Smart TV (Guests will need to use their personal login account for apps) Dedicated free parking place for your stay 5 min walk to a nearby small pretty lake. (see exterior 2 photos) Gravel driveway with one small step into the accommodation We both hope you have a lovely stay. x Guest access A large driveway is available with a dedicated free parking space for guests in front of Little Brook Retreat. There is a small gate at the side of the property that leads to your own private decked area at the side of the cottage with a table and chairs. Other things to note Due to being near water children must be supervised at all times. Bikes shown on photo are not included. Guests are free to bring their own bikes. Our lovely friendly dog lives in the main house she may want to say hello, though we do try and keep her away. We imagine that some guests may want to spoil her with cuddles …..
