Description
Come rest deeply and unwind at the Maple Bud Cabin where tranquility and nature meet. This little cabin is a step up from a tent with a cozy little loft nest for sleeping but still has the feel of camping as you pear out the windows into the forest. Our cabin is the perfect jump off to explore Acadia(45 min), best if you are hoping to check out the quiet side at Schoodic Penninsula which is just 30 minutes drive. Our private cabins are just for sleeping, all other amenities are shared spaces. The space We live on 6 acres of mixed open space and forest, our cabins are all located in the forest a couple minutes walk from our private house and the shared spaces including the communal kitchen, event gathering space, outhouses and outdoor shower. We have a large fenced garden that is open for visiting from guests, just make sure to shut the gates to keep critters out. Our neighbors are kind and lovely people and we live in a very safe place. You are welcome to walk around our land and explore just be sensitive to other guests in their cabins. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to their private cabin as well as all shared spaces which include our communal kitchen, outhouses, outdoor shower, and gathering space. We also have a fire pit and outdoor dining space in a screen tent as well as a grill for guest use. Please feel free to explore the property while respecting other spaces as private. Other things to note Our check in time is between 3pm-8pm to allow for our guests to be properly oriented on our land before dark. If you are coming late, please let us know so we can send you an orientation video and know that we prefer to personally meet you and show you around to support your ease and comfort. Internet is available in communal kitchen/ lounge, as well as in cabins. Outhouse bathrooms are separate from private cabins and located 100 ft down the trail. Our land is centrally located between both sides of Acadia National Park, 45minutes-1 hour depending on traffic from Bar Harbor entrance and 30 minutes to Schoodic/ Winter Harbor Entrance. Small flashlights are provided in each cabin but a headlamp or light will be necessary for navigating the trail to the cabin upon arrival.
