The Box has another queen bed and there’s easily cater for 8 5K north of Adelaide River Pub The space This is a unique property situated one hour south of Darwin and only 5 km north of the Adelaide River pub You turn off the old Stewart Highway and cross a historic bridge then enter what was once of World War II campsite. The original house is from the 1950s and was apparently part of a watermelon farm. The house is spacious and open plan with bathroom/laundry/kitchen and a queen day bed on the veranda. One large air conditioned bedroom. The main house is fully enclosed with crim safe - my mother calls it ‘The Tent’ for the way breezes blow across. Walk through the gardens to the party shed with outdoor kitchen and keg fridge overlooking a big lawn and fire pit. Head a little further up the valley to the tank pool. ‘The Pod’ is a shed in the garden converted to an air conditioned bedroom. We are probably the fifth owners the last were incredible conservation land managers, and we take great pride in the lack of Gamber grass and other introduced weeds. We have extensive gardens and lawns that make the dry season seem green. FAQ. Is the living/kitchen air conditioned? NO. It's a magnificent big tent :) Where's the second bed? ON THE VERANDA! Sleepout style How do I book the 'Box'? IT WILL BE ON A SEPARATE AIRBNB PROFILE SOON or just ask us and we can add it to your booking for $100/night. It's awesome Guest access You have booked the whole property! But here are the caveats: - the machinery shed is out of bounds (too many tools:) Other things to note You will hear road noise as we are close to the Stuart highway. It always quiets at night. Fires are only permitted when there is no fire ban in the area. And only in designated fire circle. Guests to contribute to firewood collection after first night
