The Mogollon Lodge (pronounced mow-gee-yawn) was designed for family. 3300 sq ft of living space in a beautiful, remote setting amidst the ponderosa pines. All the comforts of home without the hustle and bustle of the city. Kick back and listen to the trees whisper, the elk bugle and the family laugh. This piece of heaven renews the spirit and refreshes the soul. Gordon Canyon Creek runs across the property, which backs to the Tonto National Forest with thousands of acres full of adventure. The space The Mogollon Lodge has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living spaces to watch TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room large enough for ten, and a porch with a comfortable sitting area open to the forest air. On the property grounds you'll find a large firepit with enough seating for the whole family, wind chimes (can you find all six?), four picnic tables (one of them is hidden), a tree house, and a very long stretch of creek to explore. Seasonally, there are hammocks hanging around the trees, and extra points to you if you can find the secret swing. And in case all of that isn't enough space for you (though we highly doubt that), there is private access to the National Forest right off the driveway. The room to roam is extensive! Guest access You'll have access to five bedrooms. This means you'll have ten beds (that sleep 16), plus two toddler beds. On top of the four full bathrooms, there are also three hallway sinks, to give your family more space to get ready in the mornings! You'll also have access to a children's playroom full of toys, a bar-b-que grill stocked with propane, an indoor fireplace perfect for roasting marshmallows, a washer and dryer, two TV's equipped to stream Netflix, Amazon, and Disney+, and an entire cabinet full of games for the cold nights spent inside. Other things to note The neighborhood is a retirement community, and consideration of neighbors (especially with noise and driving speed) is greatly appreciated. The owners live above the garage, and use the carport unless otherwise requested by the guests. If you need anything during your stay, you can go around the garage and knock on their door! Babyproofing - We offer babyproofing for families with little ones. If you would like the house to be babyproofed, let us know before you arrive and everything will be set up!
