Bring the whole family to this peaceful place to stay. Located on the water at Madison Bay, just south of Cambridge. The laid back idyllic rural fishing village will make you immediately relax. A bird watchers paradise location with cultural and historical significance close by. A short drive to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the Harriet Tubman birthplace and museum. Bay views from every room. Beautiful sunsets. Your own little beach access to launch your Kayak and your own 190' pier. The space Sitting up high with views of the water, you should have your share of Bald Eagle, Osprey and Heron sightings, along with many other species. Spot Diamond Back Terrapins as you fish and crab from the pier. Relax on the pier and launch the kayaks (3) or Paddle Boards (2) and explore the area – lifejackets from child to adult XL. Crabbing supplies and crab cooker in the pier house, along with the grill and yard games. Back in the house there is an open kitchen/eating/sitting area with windows to the water. Stay comfortable with 2 zone A/C , heat and fans in every room. The master has a queen bed with its own bathroom/shower. The other two bedrooms are equal size, one has a king with a sitting area and the other has a king and a bunk bed (twin over a full), both having views of the water; and share a bathroom/shower. There is another bathroom in the garage. Books, board games, record player and records, a television in every bedroom and the sitting area. There are boat slips along the dock and a public boat ramp close by. It's a short drive to the Black Water National Wildlife Refuge and the Harriet Tubman Museum. Palm Beach Willies and Boats and Hose are the two great local places to eat and drink; and the Woolford Store and Emily’s Produce are locally famous. Fresh Seafood and steamed crabs can be bought locally at Madison Bay Seafood and Lindy's. A 15-minute drive puts you in downtown Cambridge for food/drink, shopping and entertainment and arts and culture. Guest access Prior to arrival you will receive information regarding entry to the home and out-buildings. Other things to note This home has an elevated 1st floor. 16 steps to get up to the front door.
