Discover serenity at our Hillside Retreat on the outskirts of Marlinton, West Virginia, where a modern camper overlooks a picturesque valley and surrounding mountains. Immerse yourself in nature with stunning sunrises, peaceful starry nights, and the soothing sounds of the wilderness. Enjoy outdoor activities, campfires, and family BBQs. Enhance your stay with homemade local goods, home-cooked meals, or couples yoga. Tents are available for larger families to enjoy the full glamping experience. The space Our 3-acre property features rolling hills, grassy expanses, and a line of trees along the back edge. The camper space offers privacy, with only the roof of our home visible from the camper, situated about 400 feet away. Explore the beautiful views from the top of the property, and enjoy breathtaking stargazing on clear nights. The outdoor amenities include a BBQ for grilling, a campfire area, mallow sticks, a lighter & lighter fluid, a large covered outdoor patio with dining space, and ample room for yoga and other outdoor activities. Inside the camper, you’ll find a private master suite with a king mattress and foam topper, closet & storage space, and access to the bathroom. The living room features two reclining chairs, a sofa that folds out to a double bed, and a dining table that converts to a small twin bed. The well-equipped kitchen includes dishes, utensils, a toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, coffee, tea, microwave, stove, gas burners, seasonings, and all the tools needed for a home-cooked meal. Our camper is hooked up to city water, and has septic drainage. The camper has heat and a/c and we also provide space heaters. The camper is also equipped with all linens, pillows, towels, toiletries, WIFI, Smart TV, toys, games, books and more. *Note: We do charge a $20 pet fee, per pet. Our camper is pet friendly and we would very much appreciate keeping the camper in good shape for our future guests. Guest access -You’ll want to look up directions before hand because there is no cell service in this area. We do have access to Wifi once you arrive at the property. -The address 1132 Woodrow Road is our home address. It’s a yellow house at the intersection of Woodrow Road and Jericho Road. To get to the camper you will pass our home and continue to the right on Woodrow about 500 ft and the driveway will be your next right. -Drive up the private driveway to access approximately 2 acres reserved for you. Feel free to explore the property, but please respect our home space and avoid disturbing our chickens. -There are parking spaces on the paved driveway. You can drive on the grass to unload and load, but we’d appreciate it if you can park overnight on the paved spaces to save the grass. (Please be mindful of the mud or ice during the wet and cold seasons.) -The camper will be unlocked, the key is hanging on a hook next to the thermostat.
