It's technically a guesthouse to the Elmwood Park White House, but has it's own access from the street! Only the little yard is "shared". Welcome to "The Carriage House" in Elmwood Park in Downtown Columbia! This unique place is technically a guesthouse to the Historic Elmwood Park White House (that runs as an Airbnb), but you will have the entire home to yourself, only the small yard is "shared". It has it's own access/stone path from the street and honestly is it's own little property in every way! It recently underwent a full renovation in 2025 from top to bottom and you will absolutely love the updated, fresh, and modern industrial style with coastal touches throughout! Sleep 5, but 4 comfortably. 1 Queen Bed - TV 2 Single beds (day bed w/pop up trundle) to make it King size when side by side 1 Queen size sofa bed - Couch folds out to be a nice sleeper sofa for 2 Pacnplay available UPON REQUEST All linens provided. Starter supplies provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soaps, cleaning supplies, paper towels, TP, 3 laundry pods, coffee pods, and sugar provided). The main floor features a living room with queen side sleeper sofa for 2, an open concept kitchen with concrete counters, herringbone tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances including a Keurig for coffee w/pods/sugar, gas cook top, dishwasher, and oven/fridge , pots and pans and essential cookware. Up the spiral staircase w/dome skylight, you will find 2 bedrooms: a queen master bedroom sleep and room darkening shades and the other bedroom has a daybed that pulls out and pops up to sleep 2 in the 2 twin beds (king size beside each other) w/room darkening shades and sound machine. You will also find the amazing spa like bathroom with rain shower head, the most gorgeous blue tile and white penny tile floor, custom cabinetry/closet space, hair dryer, and washer/dryer! We are walking distance to the Elmwood Roy Lynch Park where there's a playground and splash pad in warmer months! Just a couple blocks down the street! Great for kids! If you fail to follow our house rules, your stay will be terminated with no refund or you may be subject to fines for remediation or extra cleaning fees will apply. Pet friendly to dogs only. 2 dogs only with $100 pet fee for 1 dog and $135 for 2 dogs per stay for the extra deep cleaning & sanitation required. No cats or litter boxes or any other creatures that are not human. * Trash pick up day is on Tuesdays There are THREE exterior security cameras actively recording and monitoring the front door and the two side doors. If any guest tampers, covers, or blocks the security cameras in any way, their stay will be canceled without refund immediately. This is for the safety of the property we monitor these exterior doors. We do not have the time in the day nor desire to sit and "watch" guests but we may look back over past exterior footage if a concern comes to our attention that needs to be addressed. We live nearby, but you won't see us unless there's a problem or you need something! Full temperature control inside the house.
