Restful retreat in the hills near Gaborone

Little Loratong, our thatched cottage set on a hillside with lovely views and hiking trails into the hills. Prolific birdlife. Safely situated on a housing estate only 15km from Botswana's capitol city Gaborone makes it perfect for a weekend escape or for travelling businessmen. Also a convenient stop for campers going to the North of Botswana or Namibia. Owners reside on the property. The space Loratong is situated on a residential estate where we respect privacy and peace, but we welcome guests to enjoy walking around our property or following the hiking trail up the hill behind us. Come with comfortable shoes as there is a short uphill walk from the parking area to the cottage. Bring your own food, but the cottage is well-equipped with cleaning products, kitchen cloths, towels, mops and brooms etc. Firelighters and one bundle of firewood/bag of charcoal is provided. Guest access The cottage and garden is completely private and for exclusive use of guests. The larger estate is available for walking, and there is a hiking trail into the hills. Other things to note Please note that we have horses roaming free. Please do not feed them, or approach them unless they are in their stable yard, when you are welcome to greet them over the fence. Horse riding can be arranged if you are an experienced rider.
