If pump shutoff is required, the septic still works and guest can gather water from the lake in a bucket and use sink, shower, etc. Plug-in water heater also available for hot showers. Baker ski area -Private lakefront! Guest access -Guests will have access to everything on the property except use of the boats or access to the boathouse (insurance purposes) Other things to note -The water supply is sourced directly from Silver Lake. While Silver Lake is remarkably clean for surface water, water should not be consumed from the faucet and only used for showering, washing dishes, flushing toilets, etc. Guests are encouraged to bring drinking water. Drinking water is also available at a roadside spring just off Silver Lake road between Maple Falls and the cabin. I usually have a 5 gallon container filled with spring water available, however guests should know to either purchase drinking water or fill up at the spring if the container is empty or drinking water runs out. -Access from the road down to the cabin is steep series of switchbacks and stairs prospective guests with physical limitations should keep this in mind before booking. -Fishing licenses are available at the guest service center in Maple Falls.
