Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. It offers 2 real bedrooms, a kitchen semi-open to the living room, a relaxation lounge, a bathroom with bathtub and a separate toilet. Free street parking or nearby municipal parking. Located in a village surrounded by forests, but close to the A31 and 15 minutes from Metz city center. For a stopover on the way to your vacation or for a visit to the Metz region, you will be welcome. The space The accommodation is located on the ground floor of a large old house (with thick walls, no need for air conditioning in summer) of which we live in part. However, there are 3 steps to access the living room, bathroom and toilet which are located at the back of the apartment. Wi-Fi works well in the kitchen/living room but not in the living room (thick walls). The kitchen is very complete and is separated from the living room by a bar. The living room has a large non-convertible sofa with coffee table, TV (no channels available) with DVD player, dressing room, and you will also find DVDs, magazines and board games. The 1st bedroom includes a 140 bed, large dresser, nightstand and walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom, which is separated from the previous one by a door, also includes a 140 bed, a nightstand, a dresser, a coat rack and a small desk. If you need the 2nd bedroom, please note that one of its windows overlooks the road. Despite double soundproofing, wooden shutters, and very little car traffic during the night, people who are very sensitive to noise may not appreciate it. The bathroom with bathtub, vanity and washing machine is separate from the toilet. We provide towels. Guest access The accommodation is entirely at the disposal of guests. The entrance is private and overlooks the main street of the village. All rooms (except the living room) have a window overlooking an adjoining courtyard. We will give you the keys personally, but if we are away, you will find them in a key box with code. Other things to note The village of Châtel is surrounded by forests, you will be a stone's throw from many hiking or biking trails. If you have bikes, you can put them in our secure yard. The large shaded municipal park has games for young and old, as well as a ping pong table (game set in the accommodation). Also nearby are relaxation areas with picnic table, greenway, and trout fishing pond in the summer. Tourist sites to visit: - Merovingian ruins of Mont Saint-Germain (on the hill behind the house) - house of Robert Schuman in Scy-Chazelles - Annexation Museum in Gravelotte - our beautiful city of Metz with its many monuments, Cour d'Or and Pompidou museum, lake, Constellations festival, Christmas market... - Amnéville, its zoo, the snowhall - Lake Madine, 1 hour by car But also the Waves shopping center at the Zac d'Augny, with its fountains in summer and illuminations at Christmas (free parking). In short, there is something for everyone!
