Welcome to The Railway Cottage 🛤 Only 3 km from the city centre of Geraldton and 800 m from the most loved Beresford foreshore boasting an ocean front walkway to parks, cafes and shops. In an area you're most welcome to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a very unique location , tucked behind a large vacant block, edged by native bushland with spectacular sunsets and ocean views The house is filled with character, yet freshly renovated & has a very homey feel. See below for pet policy. The space Nestled under the Norfolk Island Pines of old, down a quiet cul-de-sac lies our lovingly restored and recently refreshed 1950s Railway Cottage. As you pull down the long gravel driveway to the back of the property , through the "BushFence Playpen" you'll enter our quaint little 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage. Views of the beautiful Moresby Ranges can be seen from the Main Bedroom and the Stunning Indian Ocean will welcome your gaze as you peer out of the kitchen window and further to the back of the property. Guests will have the whole 850m2 property to themselves, and should usually expect to enjoy a private, very quiet and peaceful stay. A short 5 minute walk (right, then right) will land you at the beautiful developed foreshore walking path and pristine beach, To the right is St Georges Beachside Park with plenty of shade, pergolas and barbecues for families to enjoy a picnic or some crinkle cut chips from Bluff Point Deli :) Further is a wonderful beach trail among native trees and bushland, and for the keen hiker, if you continue, you will meet the river down into Chapman River Regional park where you can continue to be absorbed in natural beauty through the winding trails along the banks of the Chapman and travel further East as far as you can muster. To the left you will enjoy a more developed walk trail, within 5 more minutes you may find the coffee van parked up or continue on to AJ's Beach cafe for your morning brew. Within 20-25 minutes of walking, the whole way being blessed by views of the Indian Ocean, you will find yourself in the centre of town close to a variety of Restaurants, Cafes, Pubs, Chemists, Retail Outlets, Surf Shops, Public Library, Police Station, Health Food Stores and Sports Stores. If you prefer a quieter more easeful shopping experience, a short 5 minute drive to the north, through no traffic lights or stop signs, the Bluff Point Complex offers all you could want, with a Butchers, Gourmet Fresh Food Outlet, A Traditional Takeaway Deli, Kebab Shop, Chinese Food, Drive through Takeaway Coffee, Chemist, Post Office and A Large Pub with Drive through Bottle shop Attached. The Guest Kitchen is fully equipped to make a wonderful meal with all of your produce with a large 5 burner gas stove with range hood, Cast Iron Pans, Utensils, Knives and Wooden Chopping Boards. A stovetop kettle and a stovetop percolator to make either an instant or MOKA coffee (byo ground beans), and a toaster for a nice crunchy breakfast. The large hot water system ensures the shower and bathtub stays nice and warm throughout these cold months, beautiful natural light will peer through at certain times of the day and the reverse cycle air conditioner is there to back it up after you get out. Sam and Isabella Guest access The back yard is still under some minor construction and is not fully enclosed, so please be mindful of small children and their sense of adventurous exploration if they are outside of the gate and are prone to wandering off. The side of the house is currently being used to store building material so is not usable for guests and we advise to keep clear of this area. The Outside toilet is currently out of order. Other things to note Strict outdoor pet policy under no circumstances are animals to be bought inside , due to hygiene and safety reasons pertaining to other guests.
