The Hodge Podge

Bright, roomy and centrally located: a 5-minute walk from lovely Victoria Park and +/- 10 minutes from most downtown hotspots: Saturday Farmer's Market, Inglis Street, Marigold Cultural Centre, etc. An oldie, but a goodie with a mix of new (bathroom, heat pump, shiny toaster) and not so new (plaster walls, kitchen cabinets, hardwood floors). Having been an Airbnb guest many times in the past, I have tried to create a comfortable, functional space for visitors. Do let me know what you think! The space The house sits on its own little knoll, awaiting guests from far and wide. The main level has a full kitchen and a sunny, spacious living room/dining room combo. Kitchen has major and minor appliances and hopefully everything else you need to enjoy a meal or two. Or snacks. The living room has a decorative, but non-functioning fireplace (have added pretty lights for mood-setting), a wonky record player, and books and games for your enjoyment. You can also nap on the couch or flop into the armchair for some personal screen time. The upper level has three bedrooms, one with a queen, one with a double and one with a single bed. This is also where you will find the small, but modern bathroom. Bedding and towels are provided. The back yard is pretty private in the summer, but the uncouth neighbourhood deer will trample through from time to time. This is usually a fun and exciting sight for visitors, but if visitors are wondering why there are no flowers or pretty things jazzing up the space, it's because the un-dear deer eat everything (also: poop it out). But yes: great photo ops! There is a shared driveway that can accommodate two vehicles. Guest access Guests have the whole home to themselves, except for the basement. There is an old set and a new set of stairs from the driveway. The old set is missing a couple of bottom steps; useful for morning stretches and displaying interesting rocks.
