The Friland cottage on the Curiedi plateau is nestled among quiet forests that, once the frost has lifted, are filled with new sounds, and among meadows that come alive with a soft green dotted with the first wildflowers. The view sweeps across the peaks of Carnia, painting the landscape with cool, bright hues. An intimate and authentic retreat, perfect for slowing down, breathing in the fresh air of the season, and being enchanted by nature's rebirth. The space Friland is an opportunity to take a break from everyday life and spend some time in close contact with nature, in spectacular locations. Friland is a tiny, mobile, and self-sufficient (off-grid) house. It has all the typical amenities of a home. In 12 square meters you will find: double bed, kitchen, shower and toilet (non-chemical) and heating. The environment is characterized by an essential but welcoming space, which offers intimacy and well-being. The large scenic windows of the accommodation give you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the landscape. You will find to welcome you: - 2 liters of drinking water - linen - soap Autonomy is made possible thanks to an advanced water recycling system and the use of photovoltaic panels. The Friland room is cleaned and sanitized before each stay. Guest access The guest can park about 800 meters away from the Friland room. In fact, there is a walk of about 10 minutes to get there. We therefore recommend light luggage and suitable shoes. The exact location will be provided 24 hours before check-in. Other things to note What does it mean to stay in nature? Sometimes you might hear or see the Forestry Department or local staff busy taking care of the forest and mowing the grass: their work is invaluable in keeping these places safe and beautiful. We encourage you to enjoy these moments with respect and curiosity, remembering that we are guests in a living land. The beauty of nature also lies in its continuous evolution. Atmospheric events (such as the sun, a rainbow, or rain) are an integral part of the natural environment and the experience you will have. As a result, the access trails or dirt roads may sometimes have gaps, branches, leaves, or mud.
