Garden Villa — Coastal Countryside Paradise
Description
Salsa Livre Beach Farm is where the ocean meets lavender, and good design disappears into good living. The Garden Villa is for those who find joy in sharp knives, glossy egg yolks, and a really great sofa. Designed for lazy mornings and nights that start with a Negroni and end with “just one more episode,” this is your corner of the farm to stretch out, cook up, and settle in. (Original text in English. More photos coming soon.) The space The kitchen? A beast—in the best way. Think KitchenAid with pasta-making gear, All-Clad pans, and a view that makes even washing up feel smugly wholesome. There’s a large picture window over a proper breakfast bar and enough space to actually dance between courses. There’s also a record player and a vinyl stash, small on quantity, big on vibes. Think Dark Side of the Moon, Legend, various Dylan, and other needle-drop essentials. Because sometimes the WiFi should take a break too. Slide into the L-shaped HAY sofa and disappear for a while. Yes, the floors are microcement. Yes, they’re heated. Yes, you will silently judge all other floors after this. The Garden Villa is built for the delicious in-between. That stretch of time between beach sessions, books, naps, and dinner. A space that works hard without trying hard. A villa that actually feels like yours—for a weekend or a while. Perfect for curious creatives, soul surfers, home chefs, prana warriors, digital nomads, and people who know what they like. Salsa Livre Beach Farm is a place to restart, repurpose, reinvigorate, and maybe just stay put for a while. Each stay comes with a stockpile of snacks, drinks, and DIY breakfast bits to keep you self-sufficient. Fancy a Bloody Mary? The honesty bar is open 24/7. Need to work? There’s a fiber mesh network faster than your last city lease. Also included: hot water outdoor shower, yoga kit (mat/blocks/strap), washer and dryer in unit, big gas grill, two open-air fire pits, and surprise touches stashed in every corner. Guest access Only the beaming moonshine on a clear night can rival our blazing Atlantic sunsets. Perched above Peralta Beach and nestled in the agricultural heart of Lourinhã-Atalaia, Salsa Livre Beach Farm is a boutique, micro villa agritourism concept in the making. Folks tend to request the sun, but our 1,000 lavender plants equally bask in the Silver Coast's signature sea mist. We are partial to both. A 7-minute walk takes you down Peralta's valley to the beach. The village of Montoito is loaded with rural charm, but you'll need your own car to access conveniences: Atalaia & local grocer - 2 minutes Lourinhã town center & 3 large supermarkets - 7 minutes Óbidos, Peniche, Baleal, Supertubos - 20-30 minutes Ericeira, Nazaré - 45 minutes Lisboa - 60 minutes Other things to note The lavender field hits full bloom mid-May through June. Guests are welcome to join in the occasional weeding or lavender harvest. Salsa Livre is a living, breathing restoration project. This 200-year-old packed stone farmhouse is still evolving, but don’t worry—no work happens when guests are in residence. NEW FOR 2025: Bedroom-only AC coming in July. STAYS & FEES: We favour longer bookings. Discounts start at 5 nights, with the best deals for month-long guests. One cool dog or a third guest on the sofa bed? There’s a small fee—age irrelevant. SAFETY: The property is unfenced and open to the street, with some unguarded drops. If you have curious toddlers or free-range Chihuahuas, assess accordingly. REALITY CHECK: If you fear friendly dogs or busy bees, if shoes-off in the house isn’t your thing, or if you require a microwave and sub-zero AC—Salsa Livre may not be your vibe. No hard feelings.
