Ideally located in the upscale 1780 neighborhood of the Camp Lake James community, this charming 3 BD, 3.5 BA home sleeps up to 8 people comfortably and offers an expansive screened porch, 2 living rooms, an outdoor fire pit, and a gas grill. This rental is pet friendly with an additional $100 pet fee per dog (maximum of 2 dogs allowed). Please include the number of dogs when making your reservation. This home does NOT have access to Camp Lake James amenities. The space About the Home: • Impressive and well-equipped kitchen with eat-in dining for 8 and island seating for 4, gas range, dishwasher, and Keurig coffee maker. • Living room with 64" TV for streaming and access to the spacious screened-in porch with outdoor seating and living space. • Lower-level family room with 74" TV for streaming and access to the patio with gas grill and outdoor fire pit with seating for 4. Where to Unwind: • The upper level boasts a primary suite with king-size bed, a 42" TV for streaming, and en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and soaking tub. • The upper level also offers a second bedroom with a king-size bed and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower. • The lower level offers a bedroom with two queen-size beds. A full bathroom, with a walk-in shower, can be accessed from the family room. Where to Explore: Located just 45 minutes from Asheville in Nebo, this upscale home is the perfect place to get away and enjoy everything the Lake James area has to offer. Outside of the community, you can spend your days exploring nearby hiking trails like the Fonta Flora Loop in Lake James State Park or High Shoal Falls in South Mountains State Park before grabbing a refreshing craft beer at Fonta Flora’s open-air brewery at Whippoorwill Farm. Less than 25 minutes away, you’ll find the quaint small town of Marion where you can grab another cold one at Mica Town Brewing Company, fresh seafood and a cocktail at Crabby Abby’s Bar and Grille, or a handcrafted dish paired with the NC staple, Cheerwine, at McDowell Local. Before returning to your home away from home, shop around at the Lake James Antique Mall, or take a short 30-minute drive to the “Simply Charming” town of Morganton where you can find boutiques, novelty shops, regional museums, and art galleries to pick up a souvenir to remind you of your time in the mountains. Guest access All of our homes are private residences so you have access to the entire house unless otherwise noted in the description (the owner may not allow use of the garage, etc). Free parking at all homes. After you make your reservation, you will receive an email with instructions for access, including a keyless access code if your home has keyless entry. You will hear from one of our local rental staff members and we will be available to assist you in whatever way we can! Other things to note For dog-friendly houses, approval of the pet by Greybeard Rentals must be obtained. Those cottages allowing dogs are limited to one or two housebroken domestic animals, depending on the home. A $100.00 per dog, non-refundable fee is charged on all reservations including a pet. Sorry, but cats are not allowed due to common allergies.
