I traded properties with my son and my new AirBNB is 1 mile down the street. It is a different type of house but the rooms are lovely and the beds are very comfortable. The space This is an interesting property. It is the spot of the Newman Tavern, that had been used during the Civil War, but soon after the war ended the Newman Tavern was burnt down and this home was rebuilt in its spot. The home has been completly redone, after being saved from being condemened. All the interior, electric wiring, new water pipes. The Water comes from an underground river with the Spring Head upon the property. The water is filtered through a 6 point filter system, that includes UV Lights. It is checked monthly and everytime the water is pure and clear with no pollutaints. Many of the orginial items had to be removed due to the fact it had been condemened; however, every effort has been made to put back as much of the orginial features as possible, though in a different manner. I am in the process of makeing multiple gardens and vinyettes and lovely places to sit and enjoy nature. The property is centrally located between Gettysburhg and Chambersburg. It sits on top of South Mountain. Guest access The guests are invited to use the fully stocked kitchen,, dining room with 2 sets of dishes, and a living room with a lovely curved TV. A Krueger Coffe Maker is in the dining room for everyones use. Besides coffee, we have chocolate, and tea. There are 2 acres you can meander around and smoke on. There are seating areas stratgically placed on the property. Hopefully everyone will feel at ease and comfortable while they are guests in my BNB. During your stay I live on the property and I am easy to reach, once you book I give you my cell number and you can call or text. Best not to leave a message as I seldom listen to my messges. I do my best to make all of my guests feels comfortable and welcome here. Other things to note Each room has a HEPA air filter system, that is a soft white noise and keeps every part of my property pure and clear.
