The Wonky Donkey life is a Hee-Haw (w/ the occasional bray!) while you enjoy the quietness of a wooded acreage. You get to relax in a newly built 3 bed 3 bath house with an open concept and lots of windows to absorb the wooded views. The space The Wonky Donkey is a 25 acre equine farm w/a new farmhouse settled in a grove of trees up a long driveway a quiet distance off US Rt 1. Relaxing with Horses and Donkeys is but one way you can slowdown and realize the joys of simplicity ebbing back into your hectic life that your here for a reprieve from. They harken back to a simpler time when life was slower, calmer and more natural. A time when nature was all around us and often ruled us. Yet... Penobscot Bay and all that offers is a short drive away; from Camden & Belfast to Bucksport and Castine. Not to mention our local Stockton Springs Harbor is less than 2 miles away; and Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor is a short 45 min drive. As is Bangor International Airport as well. Your never far from being as available as you want to be even while you as removed as you desire to be. All the Wonky Donkey amenities are provided via a newly built 3 bed 3 bath farmhouse. Thoughtfully constructed with an open living concept and all the comforts of modern living such as AC, free wifi, large screen TV, wetbar & full kitchen. Not to mention the large picture windows providing the forest bathing views from the passive solar design that is the Wonky Donkey Farmhouse. Guest access Our guests enjoy the Wonky Donkey home to themselves. With the main floor providing a full kitchen, open concept dining and living space with a full complimentary laundry and bath. While the 2nd floor houses 3 bedrooms outfitted with a private bath for the Master room complete with Japanese soaking tub, a full bath for the Queen and twin rooms & 2 AC heatpumps to provide the comfort of conditioned air as you would expect in your home.
