Crivens our Quirky Shepherds hut

Crivens is a cosy shepherd hut. It sleeps a family of up to four, on Family Friendly Glamping site. There is a king size bed and two singles children’s bunk beds. There is a small kitchen and a shower room with shower pod and mains flushing toilet. Outside there is a large table and benches and a fire pit (wood purchased on site) we don’t accept dogs through Airbnb - towels are not included. We have farm animals on site. Including mini horses, mini sheep, Pygmy goats and rabbits. The space Crivens is located on our Glamping site next to a working dairy farm, nr the village of Ashill. Fantastic views from the edge of the Blackdown Hills along the culm valley. On our 2 ache field there are two safari lodges and a shepherd hut. The hut is well equip for your comfort with an electric induction hobs for the early morning cuppa. All you will need to do is relax and let the children explore. We are on the edge of the Blackdown hills with lots of country walks and countryside to explore, there are local rivers with popular paddling/swimming spots or if you prefer the sea the beaches are under an hours drive to the north or south coast. Exmoor is also within easy reach. On the Glamping Site you can say hello to our mini horses, cuddle the rabbits. There is a play area with a climbing frame and swing for younger children and There is also plenty of space on the field to run and let off steam. Alternatively you can use us as a base to explore the beautiful countryside or Devon coastline with its stunning beaches. We hope we have created a relaxed family friendly environment a special place to enjoy making childhood memories. Other things to be aware of Leafy fields glamping is set on a field in places the land is uneven and the field is on a slight incline, so please ensure your group wear suitable footwear. There are no paved paths to the lodges just stony tracks so three wheel rugged pushchairs are more suitable than strollers. You can park next to your lodge so no long walks with wheel barrows of luggage. There is only sola lighting on the field outside the units so we do not allow arrivals after dark. We recommend wellies or crocs as they are easily kicked off before entering the hut. We have farm animals on site. Including mini horses, mini sheep, Pygmy goats, cats and rabbits. In the hotter months there may be cluster flys and other insects on site. We provide some spray and advise being sensible about leaving food out and keeping doors closed. Guest access The shepherd hut is located on a Glamping site with open space to explore. The main gates to the site are kept locked - you get your own key on arrival Other things to note We keep our front gates locked to create a safe space for children to explore without the danger of the road. You will be given a key on arrival from the key safe We don’t allow music on site without headphones. We are a family site and so ask that guests are quiet by 10pm We have farm animals on site. Including mini horses, mini sheep, Pygmy goats, cats and rabbits. There is some cctv on site with we can monitor remotely as we don’t live on site.
