The Barn at Thornhill House, a cosy getaway.

A peaceful and relaxing space on the edge of the Cotswolds with lots of walks in the area including the Jurassic Way, a short hop from Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and only an hour from London by train. We are also ideally suited for the Silverstone Grand Prix just a 15 minute drive away, Cropredy Fairport Festival, and Wilderness festival. There is a super pub with excellent food and within walking distance. A home from home experience. The space The Barn is a self contained annexe on our property. It has a full kitchen and shower room on the ground floor and a bedroom with King size bed and living area on the first floor. It used to be an old tractor repair barn that we lovingly rebuilt with the annexe on the back and upstairs. Please note we do live in a village and we, as owners live on site. Outside you have access to a seating area with table, underneath a pergola with a grape vine for that lovely evening sun. We are keen gardeners and in summer it is awash with beautiful plants, flowers and colour. We have recently added an outdoor hobbit sized sauna for our family that we offer for guests at a small extra charge. Please let us know if you may like to use this. Towels and robes are provided but please bring swimwear. The village has a lovely pub with an outdoor garden that serves meals as well as drink. The interior has been lovingly decorated with all your needs, a Grind coffee machine, coolbag for picnics, thick dressing gowns and slippers, Netflix, woodburner and much more we hope it will be a home from home experience for you. We also supply a welcome basket on your first morning of sour dough bread, our own honey, jam, butter, milk and cereal. Please advise when booking if you have any allergies. There is free off road parking available at the property, alternatively there is an hourly bus service Mon-Saturday into the local town and to the train station. Please note we are in a rural location. Guest access We live on site, however, you have full use of the back garden with its own outdoor seating area. Access to the annexe is in your own door. We do have a ring-go style doorbell on our own back door which may pick up you coming and going, but it is purely for our home, not the annexe. We are available to you to advise on walks or places to visit. We will be around to issue with the key when you arrive. When you leave, please leave the key in the black post box by our back door. Thank you. Other things to note We do have a dog, however, she is not allowed in the annexe. She is very friendly, but we will keep her out of your space. Please ensure you close all gates carefully. The Barn is suitable for a young baby, but it is not suitable for crawling infants due to stairs and lack of stairgates. Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring a young baby. We have Wi-fi and a Netflix account for you to use during your stay. There is also a GRIND coffee machine and a JBL bluetooth speaker. We also have a Weber barbecue for your use with utensils but you will need to provide your own charcoal. We have recently added an outdoor hobbit style sauna for our family use that we offer to our guests for a small extra charge. We provide towels and robes but please bring a bathing suit. Also please let us know in advance if you may wish to use this. There are several supermarkets close by and a lovely farm shop at Wykham farm. We are also a 20 minute drive from Daylesford.
