Cottage #2, at 6712 Elm Beach Road, Ovid NY, is a private setting, on a bank on the edge of host's woodlot. The screened-in porch overlooks Elm Beach, directly across the road. This cottage is to the right/north of Cottage #1. Each cottage is private, and has its own separate parking, stairs and entranceway. The property is at the middle of Cayuga Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes, with level beach frontage, fine gravel, right on Elm Beach Road, well away from State Route 89 traffic. The space For an accurate understanding of the total space, please read the entire listing, house rules and cottage manual. This is a rustic lake cabin, comprised of three rooms. The 8-foot by 28-foot screened-in porch runs the length of the cottage, looking directly out over Elm Beach. The kitchen/bathroom is a combined space, same room, measuring 8 feet by 14 feet, as shown in the listing photos. Kitchen amenities and ability to prepare meals are limited to the appliances described in other sections of this listing. Bathroom includes a full-size shower stall (no tub). This cottage is best suited for two people, but can accommodate up to four guests if you don't mind sharing the bedroom/living room, and bathroom/kitchen. More than two people is an additional $25 per person per night. More than four guests is not allowed. There are full doors between the rooms for some level of privacy. The bedroom/living room area measures 14 feet by 20 feet. The beds can be configured as a king-size bed, or two twin beds. The futon can be a couch, or a full-size bed. When you book your stay, please let me know how you want the beds set up. Fiber optic internet and wifi are provided. Guest access Guests have shared access to 300 feet of host's private beach, dock, fire pit on the beach, and fire wood. Behind the cottages are 30 acres of host's private woodlot. Available by request (included in nightly rate): * Boat docking using mooring whips on the dock * 17-foot aluminum Grumman canoe * 14-foot aluminum StarCraft row boat PLEASE REQUEST THESE BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL. I will set up your boat on the mooring whips and show you how they work. I will unlock the other boats and set them up with all necessary gear. Other things to note The cottage is on the edge of host's woodlot, is well shaded and stays relatively cool throughout the day. There are three ceiling fans and three 20-inch box fans for air circulation. On hot summer nights there is a cool land breeze that flows from the woods out over the water. Three electric space heaters and extra comforters & blankets are also provided for the cooler nights.
