The space This is a self-contained, architect-designed timber retreat created especially for couples. The studio is warm, calm, and thoughtfully laid out, with a distinctive triangular design that opens onto countryside views. Large bifold doors bring the outdoors in, while the interior provides a cosy, private space to relax in comfort. Set in deep rural quiet with dark skies and carefully chosen details throughout, the retreat is designed for slowing down — not for rushing in and out. Guest access Guests park on our private drive and access the retreat via a short walk through the shared garden. Clear directions and arrival details are provided in advance to make check-in simple and stress-free. The studio has its own entrance, and once you’ve arrived, you can come and go freely. A side gate next to the retreat provides direct access to walks without needing to pass back through the garden. Other things to note This retreat is designed for couples seeking a quiet, relaxed escape in the countryside. It is not suitable for parties and late-night gatherings. The retreat is located within the grounds of our home, but is positioned to maintain privacy and a peaceful atmosphere throughout your stay. The bathroom features a sliding door and motion-activated lighting, which some guests may find different from a standard hotel setup. Most guests choose to stay two or three nights to fully unwind and enjoy the calm surroundings as intended.
