Feather Oaks: Quiet house in the forest
“Feather Oaks” is a private, spacious 3-bedroom, 2-story house situated on 2 acres adjoining Plumas National Forest. You’ll enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere, sunset views, and hiking or cross-country skiing out the back door, just a 5-minute drive from shopping and restaurants in Blairsden and Graeagle. The space The house features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living areas with 55” flat-screen TV, wifi internet, and a huge wood-burning stove. The sunny back yard is furnished with a gas grill and a picnic table. The cathedral-ceiling master suite has a king bed, attached private bath and deck with mountain views. Two more bedrooms on the opposite side of the house have a queen bed and two twin-XL beds that can be reconfigured as a king. Like most houses in the area, there is no air conditioning. Nights are usually cool, but on hot days it can take a few hours for the house to cool down in the evening. In support of our guests who are sensitive to aromas and odors, we use scent-free products throughout the house. The bathrooms and kitchen are supplied with bottles of Dr. Bronner’s Soap (4 in 1 Baby Unscented Organic Sugar Soap), which is advertised as being good for hands, face, body and hair. There is covered parking for one car or several motorcycles and open parking for 2 or 3 more vehicles. Guest access The entire property is used for guests. Other things to note Twin beds can be configured as a king upon request, with 1 week's notice. If more than 4 individual beds are needed, the common sitting area upstairs has a twin daybed that could be used as an additional bed and the downstairs "family room" adjacent to the kitchen has a futon. These areas would not be as private for sleeping as the bedrooms.
