These rooms (total 46 m2) are exclusively for you. StayRosy is located in the heart of the city of Groningen, a 15-minute walk from the Martinitoren. The quiet, green and stylish neighborhood is characterized by the architecture of "The Amsterdam School" of the 1930s (protected cityscape). The space In the spacious bedroom (18 m2) there is a king size bed and a sitting/working area with table and chairs. Two French doors give access to a long south-facing balcony. The balcony has a seating area and gives, among other things, a view of indoor gardens and the Martinitoren in the city center. The bathroom has a bathtub, a separate shower and a sink. You have your own toilet on the hallway. The kitchen has a kitchenette with cold water, coffee maker (espresso, lungo), kettle, combination microwave oven (microwave, heating, cooking, grilling), egg cooker, and mini-fridge. There's no stove or stove top. There is a separate reading room with a comfortable chair for reading or calling quietly. There is also a corner for luggage and clothes. BIKES Bicycles available free of charge. Guest access You have your own outside door that is opened with a code. All the described areas are exclusively accessible to you. Only the hallway is shared with the host because it also gives access to a studio and workspace. In front of the door is a public sitting and playground with a ping pong table. StayRosy is on the second floor. This is accessible via an outside staircase and an inside staircase, so less suitable for people with mobility problems. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION The accommodation is easily accessible by public transportation (a bus every 10 minutes). From the main station, take bus 3 or 4 (Zaagmuldersbrug stop) or bus 10 (Floresplein stop). PARKING See the parking image (last image) in this listing for details. The parking garage "Circus" (Korreweg 9, 9715 AA) is within 10 minutes' walking distance and costs €12 per 24 hours. In Groningen, also in our neighborhood, you can park publicly on the street. During the day you pay €4.50 per hour (Sunday 12 p.m. - 5 p.m., other days 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.). P+R Kardinge (Kardingerplein, 9735 AA) has 780 parking spaces with sufficient charging stations for electric cars. Every 6 minutes, buses 3 and 4 run to the Zaagmuldersbrug bus stop at our corner. The ride takes 3 minutes and costs €1.47 (OV chip card or debit card). On the edge of the neighborhood, a 10-minute walk away, is an industrial area on the corner of Korreweg-Ulgersmaweg (9731 BR) where you can park for free all day. By car, you have to take a 10-minute detour because the car bridge is under repair. Note: If you send us your license plate number and start time at least half an hour in advance, we will give you half an hour of parking upon arrival and departure to bring and collect luggage in front of the door. During your stay We are happy to tell you about the sights and interesting places in and around the city. There are leaflets and a folder available. BREAKFAST We do not provide breakfast, but in the area you will find breakfast cafes and two supermarkets with a rich daily fresh assortment. In the city center, you will find even more nice breakfast cafes, and it is possible to order breakfast online. Every few minutes, a city bus leaves the corner directly to the city center. You pay the costs (€1.74) with a debit card or OV chip card. HIKES There are online-guided (Google Maps) day hiking trails available for the most beautiful places in the city (starting and ending point StayRosy) and a day trip to Schiermonnikoog. CITY BEACH After a 7-minute walk, you are on the city beach. This beach of over 4,000 m2 is a big crowd puller in the summer months. In addition, it is a good location for sporting events such as a beach volleyball tournament, boot camp training and the Frisbee City League. NOORDERPLANTSOEN You can reach the Noorderplantsoen in a 12-minute walk. This park developed from a sand ridge, via a city wall and a stately garden, to a place where young and old come together and enjoy art and culture. When the weather is nice, you can lie in the grass on the pond banks, surrounded by beautiful special trees. At the end of August, it is the location for Noorderzon, a grand festival with theater, dance and music. UMCG The University Medical Center Groningen (Hanzeplein 1, 9713 GZ) is within a 14-minute walk. THE ISLAND OF SCHIERMONNIKOOG A day trip to the beautiful and quiet Wadden Island Schiermonnikoog is well worth it. Take the bus or car to Lauwersoog and get on the boat there.
