Duplex Studio in old town, 200m to sea, A/C, WIFI

This is a renovated and comfortable duplex studio in the heart of the old town, only a 200m (3 minute) flat walk to the beach. The ceiling height is over 4.3m. There are two separate mezzanine levels with full head height either side of the staircase, and below in the studio is the shower-room and open-plan kitchen/dining and a sleeping area with a double bed. The space This comfortable, renovated studio duplex is ideally situated in the Old-Town, close to transport, and only a two minute walk to the azur waters, pebbly beaches, markets, boulangeries and restaurants that Nice is famed for. Once inside, the studio provides a very comfortable haven to relax and chill out in between enjoying the sights and sounds of the Cote d'Azur. It enjoys period features such as a high ceiling (4.3m) and large window with traditional shutters, as well as modern comforts such as air conditioning and wifi. Inside the studio there are three distinct bed areas for lounging, relaxing and sleeping, and there is also a convivial dining area. There are two full height mezzanine levels to either side of the staircase upstairs with a small double (120cm on one side) and a single bed (90cm) on the other. The open plan kitchen/dining area is on the ground floor with a sleeping area containing a double bed. The open-plan kitchen has an induction hob, fridge, oven and dishwasher, with Nespresso coffee machine and coffee capsules provided. Bed linen, towels, toiletries, and essentials such as dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, salt, pepper, olive oil etc are provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Two double beach mats and beach towels are also provided. There are 4 USB charging ports with cables for IOS, USB-C and Micro USB next to the beds, and more charging ports in the dining area. The shower-room has overhead and hand-held shower, and heated towel rail. There is a wardrobe with hanging space and four shelves, and there is also additional storage above. A sonos sound system helps create your home from home. As well as being full of history and sights, the old town is the vibrant heart of the city of Nice, packed with numerous restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs. It is always busy and seldom sleeps. It is not just a tourist area. It is always full of locals who come to spend their leisure time and do their shopping in the market and food shops. Staying in this studio, everything is close at hand. The studio is on the 2nd floor of a historical building, one of the few palaces in old Nice. It was built by the Caïs family of Gilette, one of the oldest and most powerful families of the Nice nobility who from the 11th century, provided numerous soldiers, magistrates and consuls to Nice. The palace was looted and confiscated during the French Revolution. There is no lift in the building, but the stairs are wide and access is easier than most buildings in the old town. Guest access The entire studio is available to guests. Other things to note There is no lift in the building. There are a number of bars below in the street and so this is not a quiet area. There is a bustling night-life which continues until around 2am. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, the old town of Nice is not for you :) The mezzanine level upstairs is not suitable for very small children who may attempt to climb over the ballustrades.
