Just around the corner is Okinawa Town, a lively night town originated from a black market from WW2 time where you can experience the flavors and culture of Japan’s southern islands. Wander through its cozy shotengai, enjoy dishes like Okinawa soba and Japanese buck wheat soba, taco rice, or braised pork belly, and listen to Okinawan folk music drifting from the shops. Quirky spots like DEN Naya (a standing bar and gallery inside a renovated 100-year-old home) and local yakitori (mostly chicken and vegetable) restaurants for people who does not eat pork make it the perfect place for an evening stroll. Around the corner from the apartment, you will also find a traditional sento bathhouse, and within a short train ride to Shinjuku you can enjoy larger spa and onsen facilities. Perfect after a day of shopping or sightseeing. For those who enjoy coffee, the neighborhood has hidden gems ranging from retro kissaten coffee shops to photo worthy dessert cafés and cozy spaces ideal for reading, working, or simply relaxing away from Tokyo’s busier areas. Our home is just a 5-minute walk from Daitabashi Station. While you’ll need to cross a busy road, there are safe pedestrian crossings and a pedestrian bridge with an elevator. Don’t worry! once inside the neighborhood, the surroundings are peaceful and quiet, and you won’t even notice the road until you see it! This is the perfect location for travelers who want to experience both sides of Tokyo. The quiet, authentic neighborhood life of Izumi-Daitabashi, and the trendy, youthful energy of Shimokitazawa, Koenji, and Shinjuku just minutes away. ------- 10–15 minutes to Shimokitazawa. Tokyo’s hub for vintage fashion, hip cafés, live music, and youth culture 15–20 minutes to Koenji. Famous for thrift shops, underground bars, and punk subculture Direct access, 5 minutes ride to the hub station, Shinjuku via Daitabashi Station, with easy connections across the mega city Tokyo and access to Haneda airport as well as Narita airport by train. For Haneda, Taxi is also easy with linear route. There is the largest and Friedly mosque and market on the ground level in Yoyogi-Ohara area of Tokyo. So far, the guests here has been very mindful and we appreciate it so much. However, in case we do receive complaints, and problem does not get solved, we have to request to leave the premises without any compensation. We ask that you keep quiet when going up and down and stairs and to refrain from making excessive noise or having loud conversations in the areas around the apartment and in the corridors outside of the rooms, especially late at night or early in the morning. We cannot be responsible for forgotten items in the premises. Please do not forget anything that need to go back home together! It helps us if you stay on the ecological and sustainable side, for example, do not accept excessive packaging or any packaging that only has to go to garbage soon while shopping.
