Attractive Victorian house with modern interior set in the peaceful hamlet of Priestcliffe, close to Bakewell and Buxton, with scenic walks from the door. Sleeps up to 24, comfortable for 18 adults and the rest children, with 9 stunning bedrooms and 9 en suites or private bathrooms. Dog friendly, we charge an additional £30 for dogs to stay and we accept 3 as a maximum. Fabulous family friendly venue, not a party venue and we cannot accept Hen / Stag groups. The space Priestcliffe House is an eye catching property, a large Victorian House nestled in the pretty and quiet hamlet of Priestcliffe. Offering you 9 individually styled bedrooms with one handily being on the ground floor with 9 bathrooms or en suites. Located in the cellar of the property is the popular, atmospheric games room an ideal spot for everyone to escape too. The ground floor offers the living space, you enter into the grand, spacious hallway with stairs leading to the first floor. The kitchen diner leads from the hallway with a large dining table to the far end that can seat up to 20 guests, a central island offer a few bar stools as additional seating, perfect for older children. The well equipped kitchen has a large range, dishwashers, plenty of storage and various cooking items making it a home from home. One of the 9 bedrooms is on the ground floor and this can sleep 4 guests as there is a bunk bed located in this room, so ideal for a family with small children. There is a handy down stairs toilet and following the long corridor leads you to the lounge. With cosy log burner and soft furnishings this room offers a great relaxing area to unwind after a day out exploring, with stunning views out to the garden. The games room can be entered via some steep stone steps that lead down to the stunning brick arched cellar room giving you a fabulous space for young and old guests to enjoy, equipped with pool table, table football, retro electronic games table, soft furnishings plus a TV- this also leads outside to a small gravelled area. On the first floor you have 5 further bedrooms all with en suites, individually styled with bold wallpapers and striking features a further staircase takes you to the top floor and the final 3 bedrooms - again individually decorated and offering 3 bathrooms, there is a perfect spot for younger children to hang out with an area classed as a TV room with low seating tucked under the eaves, please note that this is also a walk through area to get to bedroom 7. With the property tucked away down a quiet lane you really do get the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, a south facing garden with good sized lawn, which is on a gentle slope, mature borders and seasonal planting offers a peaceful and tranquil environment to sit, relax and admire the commanding views. A patio area with dining is ideal for those warmer months when you can take your meals outside and leading from the cellar room there is a small further seating area with table. BBQ is available- we do ask you to bring your own charcoal and lighting equipment Guest access Guests have exclusive use of all of the garden - that is fenced and all the property, parking is available too. Please note the access lane to the property is quiet narrow in places Other things to note There is space for 10 cars in total 4 parking at the top area of the drive and further down the drive there is room for 6 more. Each bedroom (apart from bedroom 8) has the option to be made up as a twin bed or double which we will need to know how you will want it making up prior to your arrival and in plenty of time. We provide hand towels in each bathroom / en suite and a bath towel per guest. All beds shall be made up. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Peak District with plenty of walks, historic locations and a relaxing stay but are not looking for a party venue, then this venue is perfect. We unfortunately do not accept Hen/Stag groups. Noise Policy - due to the quiet location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10 pm as neighbours are in close proximity. Please respect this. No fireworks, drones or Chinese Lanterns; you are on the edge of a National Park with wildlife and livestock close by. Please note that we are dog friendly at this property however, dogs must be kept under control at all times and never be left unattended. For your information, a maximum of 3 dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged - they are welcome in all downstairs areas, but you will be expected to keep them out of the bedrooms and off the soft furnishings. We do charge £30 PER DOG for the duration of your stay. Wifi – we provide free wifi however, as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location, sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control; we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided, the travel cots only have the base it comes with so you may want to bring a mattress with you too.
