Bedroom has full-size bed, digital alarm clock with USB port, 20” flat-screen TV, walk-in closet, blackout curtains and electric built-in heater (a rarity in Quito). In general though the condo retains its warmth at night if windows are kept closed. Laundry room inside condo has free washer & dryer, iron & ironing board, broom & dustpan and hamper. Also includes basic cleaning supplies including laundry detergent & softener. Kitchen has sink, fridge w/water dispenser, stovetop, microwave and toaster, but no oven. Kitchen has all basic necessities such as pots & pans plus blender, sandwich press, coffee maker and coffee grinder. Located in the heart of Quito, in “La Floresta” neighborhood, so most of Quito is but a 30 minute drive. Walking distance to Catholic University of Ecuador, bus stops, banks, groceries, pharmacies & restaurants. Nearest supermarket is 1200 feet (<1/4 mile). Chinese restaurant and Swissôtel are next door. Despite being located in the city’s center, the condo is relatively quiet. Guest access The lobby is available to all confirmed guests. The building has 24/7 guard service. The guards can fetch you a taxi and help bring in groceries or luggage. The condo has an assigned parking spot inside the covered garage; if needed, a garage remote will be given to guests only. Other things to note A paper copy of the house manual is in the condo. Key excerpts: Only confirmed guests. After arrival, Guests can extend if condo is available or add additional guests up to max, but must first message host with their request. Additional day(s) and/or additional guest(s) will cost based on un-discounted nightly price per person. Built-in heater must be turned-off manually each day. Daily temps range from 45F (7C) to 69F (21C) year-round so to cool condo just open windows & keep shades lowered. To minimize on wear & tear, no smoking, no children, no pets and no parties will be allowed. Though most of our condo has wide doorways, it is not wheelchair friendly. For lost keys or garage remote, guest will be charged $150 each. The fridge doesn’t have direct water access; the water dispenser & ice-maker must be hand-filled with bottled-water only. Bottled water will be provided on arrival for brushing teeth & fridge, but it will not be replenished - guests must buy when out, but don’t have to replace upon checkout. Condo will be deep-cleaned before each arrival, but guests are responsible for light cleaning during their stay. However, guests staying longer than a week will be expected to do more. There is no daily maid service, but guests can pay for extra cleanings (~$25 each time). For every 30-days stay, a monthly inspection will be held & guest charged extra if condo not clean. Upon arrival, all basic consumable items in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room such as cooking oil, shampoo and laundry detergent will be topped-off but will not be replenished - guests must buy when out, but don’t have to replace upon checkout. Basic supplies should last at least a week. Breakage- we realize accidents do happen so if a Guest tells us about them, we will only charge them a reasonable fee to repair or replace the item(s). If a Guest steals things, lies or doesn’t tell us about number of guests, breaks or damages something or breaks the house rules, then we will request compensation using the security deposit and a bad review will be given.
