Laki Minguillo was a very down-to-earth grandfather, public figure, a baker of kakanins and a farmer who wanted to surround his home with different garden flowers, plants and fruit trees. Today those trees continue to nourish his children and grandchildren as they pay tribute to him and his ancestral home by calling it ‘Casa Minguillo’. As you walk into the huge, red Torri Gate, you surround yourself with Japanese culture and architecture. Enjoy calming picturesque views and relaxing ambience, as you have access to the peaceful, relaxing gardens from various sections on our property. We’re surrounded by trees and lush green rice fields. There are various hammocks under the shades of the fruit trees where you can relax and enjoy the breeze coming from the rice fields and sleep to the chirping sounds of the birds. To sum it up with one word: Zen. Casa Minguillo offers a unique experience of staying in a traditional Japanese house. The house is original Japanese design and interiors are cozy and homely. This charming home creates a soothing ambience that is perfect for some R&R.
