Converted Barn with Mountain Views

The original Woolshed on our 3000 acre farm is now a large, modern, self-contained house next to a beautiful field of lavender. See the Milky Way at night & during the day meet the farm animals; highland cattle, calves, miniature horses & pet sheep. Next to the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail - it’s just a 2 min drive to the small town of Kurow with a supermarket, pubs & cafes. 50min Twizel, 1.5hr Mt Cook, 1.5hr Tekapo, 1 hr 55 min Wanaka, 2.5hr Queenstown, 45 min Oamaru. We have free-unlimited WIFI The space The Shearer’s Quarters has 4 bedrooms plus a mezzanine space - sleeping up to 8 people in total. There is a fully equipped kitchen. There is a hotel quality super king bed in each bedroom. The largest bedroom also has a king single and there is an extra bed in the loft. We have 2 modern bathrooms, and access to a sunny deck with lovely outlook over farmland to the mountains and amazing views of the Milky Way at night. With an amazing living area with cathedral ceilings - you’ll never want to leave! Tea and coffee provided. Heated by a large heat pump Guest access You have access to a sunny deck and full access to the lavender field. The lavender is in full bloom from the end of December through to March but the farm is of course, beautiful at all times, there is always something beautiful to be seen and the unforgettable Milky Way can be seen clearly on any clear night. We have pet sheep, ponies, calves and highland cattle in the paddocks that you can greet over the fences.
