Pop into Antonito for dinner, then enjoy a quick walk to the river before heading up to a unique loft bed looking over the main room. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway along the San Antonio River. A great place to stay while visiting the Mystic San Luis Valley. Pet friendly, with enough parking for large vehicles. HUNTERS!!! close to NM The space Cabin is located on 37 acres that border the San Antonio River. Property is close to Antonito, where you can eat at the two restaurants, check out the train station, pop over to the oldest church in Colorado, or drive up to the Great Sand Dunes Park. Either way, you will enjoy the quiet, where you will feel like you are remote, but still within quick distance to amenities. Sunsets, stargazing, and wildlife abound. If you are here for a hunting trip, San Antonio Mountain is about 5 miles away. There's a good chance you'll hear horses, see cows, maybe a few elk or deer, and listen to owls hooting in the dark. Guest access You are free to visit the river and trails, but it is a shared property with two other rentals. The cabin is separated by a tall privacy fence and there is space between the two buildings. Other than that, there is a garage and storage building that is not accessible to guests. That's it. Property is fenced to the river, so no danger of wandering onto neighboring properties. Other things to note This cabin has a loft bed, with low headroom and a steep staircase. If you have difficulties with maneuvering or are not comfortable with this layout, please consider our other listings, which are more accessible. This cabin is not child or baby proofed. There is a full size pull-out bed on the bottom floor. There is an antique wood stove in the kitchen that is decorative only. Up to 2 pets are allowed, but please note, they should be kenneled if you leave them behind, and the dog run is not intended to be used for that purpose. Pet fee must be paid at time of booking. Any pet exhibiting any aggressive behavior is grounds for instant removal from property without refund. Because we are pet friendly we don't use poison on the property, so you might encounter field mice and chipmunks occasionally.
