Geltsdale @ Howscales, a gorgeous place!
Description
Geltsdale is one of four holiday cottages here at Howscales Cottages which together with the farmhouse have been converted from a former dairy farm located near the picturesque village of Kirkoswald. Geltsdale was converted from a former barn and benefits from up-side down living allowing you to take advantage of the stunning views of the garden and fells. Treat yourself to a relaxing holiday with family or a romantic break at Howscales, with breath-taking views of tranquil pastures. The space Downstairs there is one double bedroom and one single bedroom with a separate shower room. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds freshly made with quality white linen ready for your arrival. The stylish décor includes handmade curtains, matching lampshades, as well as co-ordinated cushions and throws. There’s plenty of storage space in the solid, hand-painted furniture, so you can unpack and make yourself at home during your stay. The shower room has a good sized shower cubicle, built in shelves for storage and an electric heated towel rail. Lovely soft, white, fluffy towels are provided too. Then on the first floor the stairs separate the open plan well-equipped kitchen/dining area from the lounge area. The original exposed beams give an open, airy feel to the cottage. In the lounge you’ll find a comfortable sofa for two and a coordinating armchair to relax in after a busy day. The windows perfectly frame the breath taking views across Renwick Fell – you could get lost just watching the changing skies and tranquil landscape. But there is a smart TV and DVD player if you want to watch a movie or catch up on your favourite box set. Geltsdale has been accredited 4 Star Gold by Visit England. We welcome 2 dogs (based on a medium sized dog). Other things to note Our four beautifully converted holiday cottages are set around a cobbled courtyard and surrounded by gardens. Each has its own unique qualities whilst retaining the original features of the 17th Century former working farm. It’s our mission to make sure you have everything you need so you can relax, enjoy and make memories. The stylish accommodation is decorated to a high standard, with all the home comforts you can wish for. So it’s easy to just stop for a while and enjoy a chilled-out break at the perfect rural retreat.
