This private retreat is surrounded by nature and perfect for fishing, boating, or relaxing on the deck with your morning coffee. Enjoy stunning sunrises over the lake and Vermont mountains, and spot wildlife like osprey, blue herons, bald eagles, ducks, and turtles—all from the deck. The space Spend your days exploring Lake Champlain by kayak, launching directly from the property, or bring your own boat and use the public boat launch just 5 minutes down the road. Evenings are best spent grilling and unwinding by the fire with a drink in hand, surrounded by the quiet and peacefulness of the area (please bring your own firewood; available nearby). The area offers plenty to do, including hiking, mini golf, and golf, or take a short drive to explore everything Lake George has to offer. Visit the historic town of Ticonderoga or tour the nearby historic forts, all just a short drive away. Burlington, VT is approximately one hour away, and Lake Placid makes for a fun day trip a little over an hour from the property. The space is a cozy small lake house, completely remodeled in 2023, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Mini-split systems in every room provide both air conditioning and heat. The fully equipped kitchen includes a coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and an island with stools for casual dining. Bedroom one features a queen bed, while bedroom two has a full bed, each with closet space for storage. The bathroom offers a large walk-in shower, with bath towels provided (please bring your own toiletries). The living room features a comfortable couch positioned to take full advantage of the beautiful lake views through the picture window, along with a Smart TV and DVD player with a variety of movies. Step outside to the deck, just yards from the water, offering ample seating and stunning lake views. For guests’ enjoyment, four kayaks (two adult, one tandem, and one child-sized), along with paddles and life vests, are provided during your stay. A grocery store is located just 10 minutes away for your convenience. WiFi is available, though it may be spotty due to the secluded location. A note for light sleepers: The home is located near train tracks that are used only a few times per day, with one or two early-morning passings. While we find this to be part of the area’s small-town charm, we understand it may be noticeable for lighter sleepers. To help ensure a restful night, both bedrooms are equipped with sound machines for added comfort. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire home via a keypad entry, as well as full use of the entire yard. Please note that the garage on the property is locked and not accessible to guests.
