Under a Wooden Sky - Design Apt at Lisbon Downtown

On the top floor of an 18th century building in the heart of Baixa, this apt gives the Classified Pombalino Heritage a contemporary design approach. Having A/C, 2 Bdr+1 office, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a wide social area, you'll experience an open space feeling, with high wood ceilings and views over some Lisbon's attractions. Climbing 5 floors of stairs (no elevator) is part of the experience of staying in "The Best Airbnb in Lisbon for Heritage Design" (Condé Nast Traveler). The space A detailed renovation led by our architecture and design studio CASCA, respected the original pombalino features, like the wood structure beams, the famous 18th century tiles, the original wood doors and the smooth limestone stuccos on the walls. The interiors also include some exclusive furniture pieces, specially designed by the studio, made with natural and portuguese materials like pine plywood, cork, burel and cotton fabrics. The apartment has been recognized abroad by its singular architecture and design features, in international architecture magazines (Monocle, Dwell, C3, Ambientes, À Vivre, Attitude) brands catalogues, film shootings, and received more than 900 visitors at the Lisboa Open House international event by Trienal de Arquitetura de Lisboa. The throughout renovation also received the maximum rating "Excellent" by Lisbon's Municipal Council. The apartment was also selected by Condé Nast Traveller as the "Best Airbnb in Lisbon for Heritage Design" (June 2024) and one of the "Top 20 Best Airbnb's in Lisboa" as by Time Out (March 2025). The apartment has Air Conditioning, high speed Wi-Fi, Netflix TV, 4 types of coffee machines (Nespresso, Filter, French Press and Moka pot), Molton Brown and Lierac amenities, and it's fully equipped to provide you a comfortable stay, either travelling for work, or just relaxing with your friends and family. The apartment accommodates up to 6 guests: Bedroom 1: 1 double bed (queen size 1.6 x 2.0 m) Bedroom 2: 2 single beds (0.8 x 2.0 m) Living room (in the office area, connected to the dining area): 2 single sofa beds (0.8 x 2.0 m) Single beds /sofa-beds can be placed side by side with a queen size mattress topper - by our guests request, at the time they book. Guest access You'll have the whole apartment for your private use, with a total of 130 sqm (1400 sqf), apart from a storage area in the attic which is not accessible to guests, for safety reasons. Other things to note STAIRS: You'll have to climb stairs (5 floors) to get to the apartment. The stairs are wide and confortable to use, nevertheless, not suitable for mobility limited persons. SOUNDS: Due to the open space structure, the sounds from bedrooms can be heard in other parts of the flat. SOFA-BEDS: The two single convertible sofa-beds are in the office area (see all living room pictures). The office area connects to the dining area, without door. A burel curtain (heavy wool portuguese fabric) can be closed to visually separate both areas. Watch carefully the apartment's photographs and floor plan. WHAT WE PROVIDE: Portuguese cotton bed linen and towels will be provided, as well as Bath (Molton Brown Hand & Body wash, Molton Brown Shampoo, Lierac Face Cleansing Milk + face cotton pads), toilet paper, laundry clothes detergent, dishwasher detergent and other cleaning products. Available basic supplies for Kitchen: coffee capsules for Nespresso, ground coffee, tea, salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar. As an authorized Local Accommodation, we do not provide food or drinks. CLEANING: The apartment is professionally cleaned before your arrival. For stays up to 4 nights, 1 set of towels per guest will be provided ; for stays longer than 5 nights up to 7 nights, 2 sets of towels per guest will be provided. For stays of 8 nights or longer, see next paragraph, please. CLEANING DURING YOUR STAY: each cleaning service during your stay will have an extra cost of 70 eur and includes the apartment cleaning + changing bed linen/towels. For stays up to 7 nights, the cleaning service is optional - just let us know in advance if you wish it; for stays of 8 nights or longer, 1 cleaning service per week will be mandatory and 70 eur will be charged separately for each cleaning service.
