Large en-suite room in Hosts home set in a large wildlife garden with pond, woodland, sitting areas. Situated alongside York to London main train line. You may see The Flying Scotsman pass by from your room as well as regular local & intercity trains. Triple glazing & shutters are provided to reduce train sounds. The room has a breakfast table & comfortable chairs, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster & Nespresso to enable you to prepare breakfast or a light meal. Milk tea coffee are provided. The space A beautiful, newly renovated large kingsize bedroom (with en-suite shower room ) overlooking the front walled rose garden and railway line beyond. Triple glazing and window shutters have been provided for your comfort and privacy. Lots of birds including Kingfisher, Heron, Egret, Sparrowhawk,, Goldcrest, Wren, Robins, birds of prey, all types of the Tit family as well as foxes may be seen from your window. We also have a pond with rare newts and a foxes den in the woodland. You are welcome to relax, paint/sketch in the garden. Guest access Your room has a sitting area with chairs, breakfast table, Smart TV with Netflix, wifi, mini fridge, kettle, microwave, Nespresso & toaster. iron / ironing board During your stay We are always available overnight and are often at home during the day. We are happy to offer advice, suggest outings etc and have maps and guides available. We are contactable by mobile phone at all times but also afford your privacy. Jan offers Fused Glass Workshops at times the year Other things to note Fused glass workshops may be booked upon request at times throughout the year and fused glass art/gifts are available to purchase or comission. Beginners half day session 10- 12.30 All tools & glass supplied for this session plus one kiln firing - You will be able to design & create a pair of coasters or a small plaque and a light catcher. Extra Coloured Glass for your chosen projects may be purchased from a stock selection from ‘Warm glass, Bristol. As our guest room is part of our home we are unable to offer accommodation for pets, children or additional visitors * If you are visiting your ‘child ‘ at York university we are happy to accommodate visiting requests.
