Whether you’re traveling for a weekend getaway or looking for a longer stay option, this place will suit your needs and keep you more than comfortable! The space Features include: 1. Private entrance via spiral stairs to the 2nd story balcony 2. A fully equipped European style kitchenette, with a large toaster-oven, small 2-burner plug-in hotplate, microwave, electric kettle, Keurig, French press, drip coffee maker and cooking utensils. 3. High-speed internet, 4. Washer/dryer combo 5. Smart TV 6. Luxury Casper-brand king-sized bed 7. Dining for up to 4 on a custom built live-edge dining table. 8. Queen sized air mattress available upon request. 9. Children’s items (pack’n’play, toys, books, booster seat, plates, etc.) also available upon request. The property itself is situated on a 3-acre wooded, creekside lot. You can hear the creek from the balcony! This property is also adjacent to a township park with 50+ miles of hiking/biking trails. Several vineyards and cideries are just a short drive away. The closest grocery and liquor stores are just a 10-15 minute drive. The apartment is 15 minutes from the University of Delaware, 25 minutes from Kennett Square, and 30 minutes from Wilmington, DE. **During the Spring/summer/Fall we occasionally host a pizza night with some local families outdoors on the property. Guests are invited to participate by either joining us as we prepare and cook pizza around the outdoor pizza oven, or pre-order a pizza to be delivered to their room at a pre-determined price. We will let you know in advance when we can!** Guest access This is a private apartment connected to our primary home. You will have your own entrance accessed with a digital key pad, via a spiral staircase and private deck. Please note that the spiral staircase is up to code BUT still a bit narrow for large suitcases. We are happy to lend a hand carrying large pieces of luggage up the spiral stairs, or even passing them through the main house if you need it! Other things to note Due to the stairs, this apartment is not suitable for people with reduced mobility at this time. Long-term stays (1 week or more): We love our long term guests! Please feel free to contact me before booking with any questions or special requests. Long term guests are given initial supply of cleaning products, coffee/tea, toilet paper, and basic toiletries, but these will not be restocked throughout the stay. Guests will be expected to wash the provided linens as desired using the provided washer/dryer combo machine. Cleaning services are not provided for long term guests. But don’t worry, the significant reduction in price will more than make up for it all!
