The Cochrane Wing was lovingly refurbished in 2022. The rooms are beautifully appointed, each one with its own character. With 4 ensuite bedrooms, modern kitchen dining room and sitting room. Athelhampton is a Tudor Manor, open to the public, however the Cochrane Wing is private throughout your stay. A courtyard provides an area for alfresco eating. The stunning gardens are available for you to enjoy in private during the evening. Free admission to Athelhampton House & Gardens during your stay. The space The North Wing at Athelhampton, is a lovingly refurbished 1920's wing comprising of 4 bedrooms, modern kitchen, sitting room, for 8 persons. (2 x King, 1 x Double and 1 Twin). Athelhampton is a Tudor Manor house, open to the public, however the North Wing is private. (there is no entry availble for visitors to the historic house and its gardens) which you are free to explore during when we are open to the public. A private courtyard, provides an area for alfresco eating, bbq and sitting out during the day. The stunning gardens are available for you to enjoy in private during the evenings. By arrangement with the Estate Manager, access can be granted to the historic house in the evening with a private guided tour. All the rooms were refurbished in 2022, and are beautifully appointed, each one with its own character. The kitchen is well equiped with double oven, fridge, microwave dishwasher and indiuction hob. The sitting room has a Smart TV, though we hope it stays off, while you are exploring Dorset. Guest access Access to the Cochrane Wing is from 4.00pm on the day of your arrival. Please do let us know what time you plan to arrive and we can ensure we are available to check you in. We ask that you depart by 10.00am at the end of your stay. Throughout your stay in the Cochrane Wing you will have complimentary access to Athelhampton House (when open to the public). The Gardens are open to the public during the day, however you will have private access to explore during the evening. Other things to note Athelhampton is located centrally in West Dorset, and is the ideal base to explore Dorset, local towns provide shopping and dining options, and tourist attractions, Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Kingtson Lacy, Hardye's Cottage to name a few. The country side provides exciting historic & beach locactions. Durdle Door, Kimmeridge, Badbury Rings, Maiden Castle all within easy reach. When staing at Athelhampton House, you will have Complimentary access to the House and Gardens for your guests to use during your stay. Please visit the Coach House Visitor Centre for more information. There are EV charging points located on site.
