The apartment is conveniently close to Cornell University and Ithaca College, and 12 minutes to downtown Ithaca. The space You're welcome to park one car in our driveway, and there's additional off-road space available for your convenience. Follow the illuminated stepping stone pathway to find your cozy apartment tucked at the back of the house. There are four steps down to the entrance of the apartment. Surrounded by five acres of scenic fields and woods, with nature trails and a pond. Our home offers plenty of privacy and is a peaceful retreat. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and take in the views, both indoors and out. Our host tends to a vegetable garden and flower beds, adding a touch of color to the surroundings. Our home is conveniently located to points of interest including wineries, cider houses, breweries and music venues. There are state parks with gorges and swimming holes near by. We're excited to share our slice of paradise with you! Guest access You'll have your own entrance and the whole apartment to yourself. Outside, there's a picnic table, a pond, a fire pit and nature trails. Let us know ahead of time if you would like to enjoy an evening fire. If you'd like check out the nature trails through the woods behind our house, we are happy to orient you to the trails. If you have children with you, we ask that you provide close supervision around the pond. Please respect our policy of no smoking, no parties, or loud activities. Your comfort is our priority, and we're open to any suggestions you might have to make your stay even better. You should know that the Internet is Broadband, fast enough for streaming. It is usually consistent but on rare occasion it can be spotty. Cell phone service is consistent! The apartment is in a basement and stays naturally cool, a window unit air conditioner is now available in the larger bedroom. Fans are provided in the other rooms. A dehumidifier helps keep the moisture down, it doesn’t need to run all the time but at the very least I ask that you turn it on when you leave the apartment.
