Georgian Artist's Flat on Odiham High Street

A big, light two-bedroom flat on the first floor of a Grade II listed Georgian building, right on Odiham High Street. Tall sash windows, wide oak boards, exposed beams, and original paintings on almost every wall, all by my wife Chloe, who paints downstairs. Free parking, full-fibre wifi and the Bell & Dragon two minutes from the door. The space The living room runs the width of the building, with a proper sofa, a fireplace and a dining table, so four of you can eat together without anyone perching. The kitchen sits alongside it: oven, Nespresso machine, air fryer, food processor and everything you need to cook a real meal. Both bedrooms are doubles with fresh linen. One is deep blue with beams and a brass light, the other quieter and lighter. The beamed entrance hall doubles as a desk if you are working, and the wifi is full fibre. Downstairs there is a small wild garden with a barbecue for the summer, and a washing machine you are welcome to use on longer stays. Odiham has a genuinely good high street: a gallery, a florist, a pizzeria, cafes, and the Bell & Dragon, serving since 1540. Ten minutes' walk gets you to the Basingstoke Canal for paddleboarding or rowing. Odiham Common is the other way, and Greywell has one of the world's few hundred chalk streams. The Four Seasons is up the road for a spa day. Guest access Self check-in by key box, at whatever time suits you. The flat is up an external staircase, so it is not suitable for anyone who struggles with stairs. Other things to note Shoes off at the door, please. No parties and no smoking.
