Description
Our guest suite offers a pleasant, sunny ensuite double bedroom, in a private part of our bungalow. We are five miles from St Peter Port in rural Torteval and a few minutes' walk from the stunning south coast cliff path. This is a peaceful part of the island, away from the hustle and bustle of town and not far from Rocquaine and L'Eree beaches. There is easy parking, a bus stop a few metres away and good opportunities to explore the quiet lanes on foot or by bicycle (hire from Go Guernsey). The space The bedroom has one comfortable standard double bed, with linen and towels provided; generous wardrobe space; a reading lamp; and free WiFi. No kitchen facilities are available, but there is a kettle and a toaster, with crockery and cutlery. It is possible to heat a ready meal in the microwave. There is no fridge as such, but we do offer a cool box for keeping perishable foods cold. We will wash your used crockery and cutlery for you every day! The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in power shower and heated towel rail. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided, with information about Guernsey and its attractions. Guests have sole use of the sunny breakfast nook adjoining their room, furnished with a small sofa, a table and two chairs. There is also a garden bench and table on the patio just outside: a real sun trap. You will have access to a lock box for the house key, so may come and go as you wish. Easy parking is available directly outside. Guest access You have your own private entrance via the sunny hallway/breakfast nook, available for you to sit and relax in. In addition to your own front door key, you will also have a key to your bedroom. A car does make a visit easy, with ample parking on the drive, but the 92 or 93 bus takes you directly into St Peter Port. The 91 and 94 travel from St Peter Port via the airport, going round the coast in the opposite direction . Cycling through the lanes is a pleasure - cycles may be hired from Go Guernsey. During your stay I or my husband will be around to help with suggestions for making the most of your visit to our beautiful island and answer any queries you might have. Please also see our arrival guide and guidebook on here for more information about local attractions, shopping, buses and eating out. Other things to note Please remove your shoes in wet weather. We have a small friendly dog who may be outside at times. We keep her in our gated rear garden, which you are welcome to use if you would like to - there is a picnic bench in a secluded corner. Please see our arrival guide for more information about nearby restaurants and buses.
