The exposed beams add a touch of character, while the open layout creates a friendly space perfect for family and friends. The open-plan kitchen is equipped (Nespresso coffee machine and filter coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, electric oven, fridge). Upstairs, you will find a modern and functional bathroom, as well as two bedrooms with wardrobes (one with a 140 cm bed and one with a 160 cm bed). Each of these rooms enjoys beautiful brightness and unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside, offering a haven of peace and comfort. A large garden of 3000m2 extends to a creek at the end of the grounds. Our intention is to preserve an environment that is as natural as possible in order to promote biodiversity, so a part is left in its natural state. A sheltered Intex hot tub has been installed in the garden. This unusual spa allows you to relax in a charming and picturesque setting, while enjoying the tranquillity of the garden. This restored country house combines the charm of the old with modern comfort, in a preserved natural environment. It is located in the charming Normandy village of Courtonne-La-Meurdrac, known for its bucolic setting, green landscapes and peaceful atmosphere. You will find a grocery store that also cooks local produce, a hairdresser, a market gardener on Tuesday mornings, a pizzaiolo on Sunday nights, as well as many hiking points. Just 10 kilometres from Lisieux, a historic sanctuary town and religious centre famous for the Basilica of Sainte-Thérèse, Courtonne-La-Meurdrac offers a haven of tranquillity while remaining close to the amenities and attractions of Lisieux. Less than 15 minutes from the Cerza Zoological Park which is a vast 70 hectare space dedicated to the conservation of animal species, home to more than 1,500 animals from all continents. About a 30-minute drive you can reach the Normandy coast. The beaches of Deauville and Trouville-sur-Mer are some of the most popular seaside destinations in the area. These resorts offer a combination of fine sandy beaches, elegant casinos and picturesque promenades. It's an ideal destination for those looking to combine the charm of the countryside with the proximity of a vibrant city. Guest access Check-in is from 5 p.m. and check-out is until 12 p.m. Possibility of early arrivals or late departures, on request, subject to availability, for €15. Other things to note There are several water points in the garden, all of which are marked: - a small pond filled with water lilies in the first garden right in front of the house - a second pond surrounded by reeds in the middle of the garden - the stream at the far end of the garden Bed linen is provided in the logic of booking: 2 people = 1 double bed. If you want another setup, you'll need to let us know before you arrive. One shower towel is provided per person; it is advisable to bring towels for the jacuzzi. No pets allowed. The oven is HS , and will be repaired soon, we have in the meantime put an electric extra oven.
