The space ~ Garden with secure permitter and gate for dogs and children ~ Gargen has lots of seating and a fire pit with fire log (please bring more fuel with you) ~ The is a dining bench and BBQ with self-lighting coal bag (please bring more coals with you) ~ Inner Hallway with coat rack, and boot store ~ Sea View Lounge Space with 4 velvet swivel chairs, binoculars and telescope to enjoy the picture window views of the parade, 8-mile beach and seascape. ~ TV Lounge with 2 no. velvet sofas, TV and DVD player. ~ Dining space with marble top table and velvet chairs ~ Kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer. ~ Kitchen has dishwasher tabs, washing capsules, fairy liquid, hand wash, hand towel, tea towel, dishcloth, sink brush, extra bin bags. ~ Bedroom 1 (The Captain’s Bedroom) has a sumptuous super king-sized bed with super king duvet, 4 pillows, lots of cushions, and 4 bath towels. ~ Bedroom 1 en-suite has walk in shower with body jets function and shower gel, basin with mirror and hand wash, toilet with 3 good toilet rolls. ~ Bedroom 2 (The Captain’s Family Bedroom) has 2 sumptuous single beds normally pushed together with a super king duvet, 4 pillows, lots of cushions, and 4 bath towels, but which can be separated as 2 single beds on request. ~ Bedroom 2 also has an adult-quality bunk bed with 2 single mattresses, each having 2 pillows and 2 bath towels. ~ Bedroom 2 also has a folding bed with deep sprung mattress that folds out to make a comfy single bed, and there is a single size sheet, single size duvet, 2 pillows, 2 bath towels for guests to make the bed if you so wish. ~ House Bathroom has large bath, separate walk-in shower with body jets function and shower gel, basin with mirror and hand wash, toilet with 3 good toilet rolls. ~ In the utility cupboards you will find an ironing board, iron, travel cot, highchair, hoover, mop and bucket, and clothes airer. ~ Rear courtyard with external bins and recycling Guest access Captains Deck Beach Balcony Holiday Home is on the beachfront upper promenade known as Marine Parade. It’s part of the large red brick building built in 1855 that includes The Marine Pub, and it is just over the road from the beach paths and the famous beach tramway lift. The postcode is TS12 1DZ. If you arrive by train or bus, walk via the Sainsbury Supermarket and down Diamond Street towards the seashore, you’ll see the large red brick building at the bottom of the street on the right-hand side. When you arrive at the upper promenade known as Marine Parade, the property is immediately on your right-hand side. It has hedges surrounding its garden, and a timber garden gate with the property name on it. Arriving by car is really easy. Follow signs for Saltburn, and then ‘seafront or tramway’ when you arrive in the town. Better still follow your Satnav to TS12 1DZ. You’ll arrive on the upper promenade known as Marine Parade. You’ll see the tramway to the beach and then just opposite there is the Marine Pub. Looking at the pub from the sea, the property is part of the same red brick building on the right-hand side. It has hedges surrounding its garden, and a timber garden gate with the property name on it. You can park anywhere that there is space on Marine Parade, on Diamond Street, or on any other close by street. On-street parking is free in Saltburn. When you arrive at the timber gate, open and follow the path to the front terrace steps and the double white entrance doors. The key box for Blue Ocean Seaview Penthouse is on the left-hand door. We will email you the keypad code for your key box closer to your check-in. There are 2 sets of keys inside the box, both giving you access to the property front door and to your own holiday home. When inside the property, the lighting in the hallway and stairwells is automated for your convenience. Please take two flights of stairs, where you will arrive at Captains Deck Beach Balcony Holiday Home’s front door. It has a ships wheel with house sign on the door. This is your holiday home for your stay. When you come back down the stairs, you’ll see a rear stairwell. This leads to a back door that opens into a rear courtyard where you will find the bins and recycling for the property, and here you can also store bikes, water sports equipment etc. The gate at the rear of the courtyard has a lock with a key in it. Feel free to use this rear gate, but please keep it locked from the inside and leave the key in the lock. Other things to note ~ Access to the property is via stone steps to the front door and 2 flights of stairs to the apartment entrance. Having been built in 1855, there is no lift. ~ If guests want to use the BBQ and fire pit, they should bring fuel to the property. ~ Guests are welcome to have food delivered to the property. ✔ This is the boyhood home of rock star legend David Coverdale (Whitesnake and Deep Purple)
