Arunachala is in the Mantiqueira mineira, a mountainous region with special preservation of forests and waters, clear skies and very low temperatures in winter. It is a sustainable, reserved, tranquil and quiet space, ideal for rest and local walks and trails. We are very close to the Monument to Nature, MONA, a listed municipal area, where the Pedra do Picu is located, 300m high, a place to visit, on the way to the old “royal road”. MONA will be the end point of the Transmantiqueira trail. The space The house is very comfortable - a living room combined with a kitchen and wood-burning stove, as is customary in the Minas Gerais countryside. Also on the ground floor, a terrace with a fire area and a full bathroom, with separate shower, sink and toilet, which allows it to be used by two or three people at the same time. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and refrigerator, dishes, glasses, cups, pots. In the wide and open mezzanine, there is a combined space for 4 or 5 people, with separation of light curtains, and two overlapping mezzanines that accommodate a couple in each one. We ask you to bring bed and bath linens. We also have a small sauna and a large river with light waterfalls. We work with Sustainable Architecture, we use structural walls of rammed earth (pounded raw earth), following the precepts of natural materials, which do not degrade the environment. Also reused materials, such as leftover tiles, bottle walls, reused doors and glass, local wood. All with a lot of grace and cheerful colors! Other things to note To get to the farm there are 7 km of dirt road and if it rains, a low car cannot pass. Examples of normal cars that we have already used without problems are Sportage and Captur, they pass normally on a dry road, but with these we never got caught in the rain. Pickup trucks or 4x4 SUVs pass easily. There is no cell phone signal, but we have satellite internet, as it was installed for the other house, it picks up at some points in this second house and of course if you get closer to the other one as well. The house has basic utensils, but you need to bring bed linens and towels for the stay. It's a super quiet place, great for relaxing and a super large outdoor space to explore!
