Quaint, peaceful, & fully remodeled basement apartment awaits you 9/10th of a mile off I-81. Conveniently located an hour from Knoxville, Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge areas & about 45min from Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol. We are situated in the middle so you can go either way without a lot of driving. This is an easy stop-over if you are traveling 81 and just need a sweet place to rest in your journey. We take great care to foresee any need you may have while staying with us. The space We offer a fully equipped kitchen. Living room, and a big patio area with Hot Tub overlooking a 2-acre pond. Fishing is allowed as a catch and release, just bring your own rods. However, we do not recommend swimming in the lake/pond as we have seen some snapping turtles and want to make sure you are safe. We have a large walkway where you can walk across the water to fish or sit out by the open, wooded platform or pond deck which we have used for weddings. We call this space “Wedding Hill.” We’re located off a busy road but when you drive back to the house and spend time on the patio or out by the water it is amazing how peaceful it is. We are surrounded on three sides with wooded areas so you may be able to spot the deer and turkeys roaming on the hill. We have seen as much as 7 deer at a time and the largest group of turkeys was 35. We have geese here as well. Lots of “life”. We don’t live far from a dirt race track so occasionally you might hear some V-8s humming in harmony, but we have not found it to be detrimental to living here or having guests. The upstairs unit is our primary residence; however, Dave and I both work and are gone a lot so we hope you can enjoy the remodeled and updated basement apartment with it’s peaceful atmosphere as you vacation or just rest in your journey before heading back on the road. We do have a TV in the basement but no cable. Feel free to hook up your own devices to the TV to watch Netflix or whatever streaming services you may use. We have a big area so parking is not a problem. There is free WiFi available. We also love hosting weddings on our Property so if you are interested in that please contact us privately for more details. Guest access When you pull off the main road you will notice a mobile home to your left. Continue on to the big house on the right. Access to the basement apartment is on the back side of the house facing the pond. You may park anywhere along the side of the house near the flower lined path. Other things to note Please DO NOT add anything to the hot tub without first checking with us. We monitor and keep tabs on the levels.
