Wonderful hikes or bike rides as well as mountain bike tours around the Diemelsee National Park region can start right outside the front door. In the immediate vicinity is a great children's playground, so that even the little ones get their money's worth. In the street is also a mini golf course and a cozy restaurant. The Diemelsee region is a very varied holiday region with diverse leisure opportunities. Here you can go hiking, cycling, mountain biking, swimming or just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The new waterfront invites you to take fantastic walks around the lake. The lake itself is ideal for boat or canoeing, diving in the diving bay, surfing or fishing. Also a sup rental is near. In the village itself there are restaurants, a tourist info with visionarium, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with sauna area and a mini golf course. The beach is of course also a great family fun for the kids. Incidentally, there are some children's playgrounds and also two dog beaches. The well-known holiday and winter skiing resort of Willingen can be reached in just ten minutes by car. There are ski lifts, cable cars, an ice rink, a lagoon bath, a summer toboggan run, a bike park, a cinema, a climbing hall, a bowling alley, and more. The place is also known for the annual ski-up and its lively nightlife with many restaurants and pubs. An absolute magnet for visitors is the new Skywalk, the longest suspension bridge in Germany. You will not soon forget the spectacular crossing of this bridge. Other excursion options are offered by the district town of Korbach, the beautiful residence town of Bad Arolsen or a trip to Winterberg or Medebach. In the neighboring village of Adorf, there is a great visitor mine. For winter sports enthusiasts, the Diemelsee region is super suitable due to its proximity to Willingen. Many groomed trails invite you to cross-country skiing in winter as well as various cable cars for downhill skiing. The place is also known for apres skiing and the many bars and restaurants.
