The house features a swimming pool with unbeatable views, ideal for a few relaxing days with family or friends. The pool area is equipped with chairs and loungers so that drying off in the sun after a swim is as pleasant as possible, all set on an artificial grass surface. The pool also has its own bathroom with shower, making pre- and post-swim showers and bathroom breaks during an afternoon of water games incredibly convenient. The house has about 150 square meters built on a plot of more than 500 square meters, making the surrounding garden area very important. Here you’ll find up to four different spots with tables and chairs. At the main entrance there is one of these areas, perfect for your first coffee of the morning. At the back exit you’ll find one of the coziest corners of the house: a stone table with stone benches around it, an ideal place for breakfast. Near the pool is the pergola area, an ideal place to have lunch while keeping an eye on the children as they swim. Once the sun has gone down, it’s time to enjoy a good barbecue. The house is equipped with a large fireplace that includes an electric rotating system that makes cooking easier without losing any of the charm and satisfaction of cooking with wood or charcoal. Right next to the barbecue is the porch, also equipped with tables and chairs, making it the perfect place to enjoy outdoors the delicious food prepared on the grill. But the outdoor area isn’t everything; the house also has a large indoor kitchen where you can dine as well, since it has its own table and chairs. It is equipped with all necessary appliances, such as a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, and coffee machine. It also has all essential kitchenware—from dishes and cutlery to pans, pots, and electric grills—topped off with four butane burners of different sizes and an electric oven. Next to the kitchen is the living-dining room, the main space of the house. Here there is a dining area right by the kitchen door, with a large wooden table and matching chairs. There is also the living area, which has a comfortable sofa and various armchairs where the whole family can gather in front of the large plasma TV. A radio and sound system with speakers are also available. The living room is equipped with a large fireplace, perfect for cozy winter evenings, and a piano for those gifted in the musical arts. From this living room, a comfortable staircase leads to the upper floor, where the bedrooms and the bathroom are located. The house has four fully equipped bedrooms. All of them have windows facing outside, making them very bright. These rooms have large wardrobes where guests can store their luggage. In addition, three of them have comfortable double beds, while the fourth is perfect for children, as it has a trundle bed that can easily be converted into two beds. All beds will be made with their corresponding sheets, and blankets will be available in the rooms in case the nights get chilly. On this same floor is the main bathroom of the house, where you can enjoy a relaxing shower after a long day by the pool. The bathroom has a built-in sink with a very large mirror. In addition to the toilet, it is also equipped with a bidet. You will also find the washing machine here, available for use during your stay. Behind the door there is a portable drying rack, while at the main entrance, just 4 meters from this bathroom, there is a fixed outdoor drying area. The house is located in a very quiet and private residential area, where silence and tranquility are the norm. However, this does not mean the house is isolated, as the town center is just a 10-minute drive away. In the village, you’ll find all the services necessary to make your stay comfortable—from the health center and pharmacies to bars, restaurants, and all kinds of shops: drugstores, supermarkets, gas stations, hardware stores… including the weekly market held every Wednesday. If you are looking for a larger urban center, the city of Girona is only half an hour away. Here you will find the main hospital, as well as all the services of a provincial capital—from the airport to shopping centers, cinemas, countless bars and restaurants, and shops—without forgetting its incredible historic quarter, its bridges, and its cathedral. Likewise, Barcelona and the medieval city of Vic are just about an hour from the house, making them easy and enriching day trips. On another note, Villa Cal Roig is located halfway between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees. This makes it a perfect and equidistant point from many emblematic towns along the magnificent Costa Brava, such as Tossa de Mar or Lloret de Mar, and a bit farther away, Roses or Cadaqués. This is without forgetting the charming inland areas of Girona province, meaning that in barely half an hour from the house you can visit incredible medieval villages like Pals, Peratallada, or Besalú. And if driving a bit farther isn’t an issue, in just over an hour you can reach picturesque spots in the Pyrenees, such as Camprodon.
